Bert's Tavern

Bert's has been around in its current location since 1954, longer than any business on Bothell-Everett Highway. It is a decent place with a good mix of locals, regulars, and passers by. A full bar, darts, pool table, outdoor seating, horseshoes, karaoke, affordable prices, and iconic appearance are among the many assets, along with good times and fun atmosphere. Not a big place inside, but it's no dive bar either. Biker friendly, easy access, and plenty of parking. Wheel chair accessible and worth checking it.

This is the place my mom and all her friends would go to to grab a drink and hang out 30 years ago...seems crazy that this dive is still around. It's not a place to go to dance, or get dressed up, or go with too big of a group....but it IS the place to go if you want stiff drinks, hang outside, and shoot the it. 3 or 4 drinks in that place is like 6 or 8 somewhere else....so you have to be careful. They have a pool table, horse shoes, a nice area to hang out outside, a juke box for music (just hope someone didn't load it up with music that sucks), they have trivia nights, pool tournaments, etc. If it wasn't for the nostalgia, and the fact it's within walking distance of my girlfriend's place....I wouldn't necessarily make it a destination as far as bars. But if you're in the neighborhood....drop in and have a drink out on the patio!

Best Dive bar!! Strong drinks, affordable, pool table, darts, Jenga, and some tasty snacks! The bartenders are awesome, and make a great whiskey drink, or whatever you desire! And yes the mud your lemons/limes!

It's a dive bar. Very strong drinks and cold beer. If your looking for a clean sports bar, this is not it. The staff (all male bar tenders) is friendly and will take good care of you. It's a run down dirty hole in the wall but it's a no bullsh** place to have a drink. What more could you want. Oh ok they have a nice outdoor deck and some horseshoe pits.

They have an awesome horseshoe pit, and one of the best outdoor smoking/patio areas around, with plenty of propane heaters for the cold days.

Since no one has taken a decent photo of the interior space, here it is! Fairly small bar, Saturday…read morenight 7:45pm, I got lucky with snagging a couple bar top spots but otherwise no tables were available. Food was pretty good - just selected a few of their appetizers; my favorite was the fried dumplings! Spam Masubi was just ok, kinda dry - I'm used to there being a bit of eel sauce beyond just the spam glaze, but I'd try it again! The Mac salad could have used some salt and pepper. Note: they did offer me S&P, so I could have spruced it up myself & I understand wanting to cater to majority tastes - nonetheless I found it to be a bit bland. Multiple Tv screens. Looks like a good place to catch a game with friends. Overall, will be back!

Haven't been here since they first opened a way long time ago in 2011, 2012 maybe. The Twisted…read moreLimed didn't make a good first impression back then both in service and most definitely the menu. But here we are, 2025 and with time to kill decided to give this neighborhood watering hole another go. First off, since we were there during the day it wasn't too busy which was kinda nice. Because it's kind of a small pub it would be horribly crowded, even with their outside seating on a busy Friday or Saturday night. Lotsa T.V. with sports and nice island-style tunes with a noise level where you can have a conversation w/o having to repeat yourself or yell. Service was good, mostly due to the time of day, light crowd, so we were able to sit where we wanted, given menus, ordered drinks. Our server was personable, made regular check ins and food time from order to service was perfect. Now what motivated me to write this review was mainly because of the food. Because honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. With the Island /Hawai'i thing being their theme, some of their menu that reflected that. So I decided I'd give some of my island favorites a try, of course with some lowered expectations. I mean I've eaten at some local island/Hawaiian places here in Western Washington run by islanders that were subpar and some cases bad. The meals I gauge would the loco moco and spam musubi. So at the Twisted Lime, that's what ordered. Wifey had a big ol' plate of their Nacho Mama. Her take, loved it. Perfect as not so much stuff on it to make the chips all soggy, go good amount of toppings, nice crisp chips and the guacamole, super tasty. My meal, I was pleasantly surprised. The musubi was excellent. That being a good SPAM to rice ratio, nice strip of nori and good flava. In case you wonder, most good musubi should have a piece of SPAM at least 1/2 thick, and rice 3x that. Place that cheap out give a sliver of SPAM and a butt-ton of rice. Examples of poorly made musubi: the ones they make at Town and Country Market in Mill Creek and Marination at T-Mobile. If you like 'em from those places, good on you. But if you ever had a well made, well proportioned one, you'll never go back. Examples of local perfect musubi: Sushi Spott so far has my number one spot, but Hawaiian Sun in Everett, and as of this review, Twisted Lime has damn good musubi. Now for their Loco Moco. First off, damn fine presentation, second off, "ONO GRINDZ". I wouldn't say broke da mout, but pretty damn close. Good proportions of rice, good amount of gravy with good flava, two beef patties, also with good flava and a nice egg over-easy. My only comments are, 1. For their loco moco price ($18), only one egg? I know that most loco mocos I've made or ordered, standard (especially in Hawai'i), two eggs brah! 2. If you wanna do the whole Aloha theme, Hawaiian mac is a standard/complementary side of any Hawaiian meal. Not something to be added to the price. Any plate lunch includes Hawaiian mac. Seriously, Google Search images. Kinda like burgers, fries should always be included, so bravo to the places that do that and shame on the ones that charge over $10.00 for a burger and don't include fries. 3. For a neighborhood bar, I'm surprised it isn't family friendly for a time. Example, the Savage Moose in Kenmore, sports bar, FF until 2100 hours. 4. No smoking or vaping in the outdoors seating? It's.....outdoors. It's not like you're out there for the view unless you enjoy the view of other businesses and a neighborhood street. But whatever. Bottom line, the food tasted good and didn't disappoint. Good solid service (can't speak to when it gets crazy busy). Star lost on the above comments, but otherwise I would definitely go there again. If anything I'm now curious of how their Kalua Pork is, comparatively speaking to what I know is good Kalua Pork.

This review is only for their wings - I haven't tried any other food / deals they offer…read more I come at least once every two months on a Thursday for their $1.25 / wings! The wings are very meaty, and plump - nothing like Wingstop. It's ruined almost every wing restaurant / chain for me. They require a minimum of 8 wings per flavor, so if you come with a big group you can mix and match flavors easily. My top two flavors: hot (buffalo) and the dry rub lemon pepper. Service is alright. You seat your self (if there is a table open). On busy days, you just fight for a table. I wish they implemented some form of queue or paper on which party is next. Tables just get wiped down with a rag. But the price / quality for the wings makes me come back every time.

Cactus Moon Saloon is my new wing place! So excited to find this place because their wings are…read moresoooo good. My wife and I came here for lunch and ordered a pound of wings (2 sauces) and a basket of fries. The fries were good and nicely battered. Wish we would've ordered a half basket though because we didn't make a dent in them. The wings were the star of the show though. The were juicy and flavorful. I ordered the lemon pepper with a side of extra hot sauce and my wife got the honey garlic wings. Both sauces were super tasty and I'm excited to come back and try the other options they have. On the inside the bar is huge! Definitely didn't expect this from the outside. I'll have to come back and check it out at night to see how it is. Seems like they have a great beer menu on draft and lots of tall boy cans available. I also hear their breakfast is good so we'll have to try this soon as well!
