We were happily surprised that Coach Matthew was able to get her to try at her very first lesson! It's definitely a very homey environment, and I think it helps the kids feel more willing to try something new. The instructors are patient and communicative, and the office has been easy to work with and quick to respond. Thankful to have found a swim school that works so well for our family!

Unfortunately, constant coach changes meant our younger daughter never learned to swim despite two years of lessons -- every time progress was made, a new instructor reset the process. When we finally found a coach who worked for both girls, the school switched them without any discussion. When we raised concerns, the person running the school (Maggie) was dismissive and condescending rather than willing to listen. We also dealt with frequent last-minute cancellations (Sandy expecting immediate response last minute ). The coaches themselves were often great, but management's poor communication made it impossible to continue. Get all commitments in writing before enrolling.

We had…read moresuch a great experience with Farnsworth from beginning sign-up to Izzy getting her tadpole report card and lollipop. ;) Coming into The swim school early June, Izzy was very scared of the water and would not put her face in at all. She cried the first lesson and wanted to get out of the pool. Jaynie and the teachers are very patient with the kids , but also know how to keep them in the water through the crying to get them to a more comfortable place. I love their approach and how they focused on technique first (big arms, blowing bubbles, strong kicks), and progressed to teaching a little more each day. Leena was Izzy's instructor for 2 of the sessions and I was blown away by what she could do by the end! She was able to go under, touch the bottom of the pool, hold her breath for a few seconds at a time, jump in and go under, and float on her back for a few seconds. Izzy gained a lot of confidence in her swimming this summer. She told me each day she was excited to go in, get rings and put her head under. Most all of this is to Leena's credit. She is so positive and engaging, and is really great at building trust and swim technique. It'll really come together, I'm sure, when the pool deck gets redone this coming winter. Our cabana club was a bright spot of exercise and fun during the pandemic -- they worked so hard to make sure members could get some safe pool time in all season, even extended the season! It made a world of difference, especially for our boys. We're happy to continue our membership here and enjoy long summer days with friends by the pool!

Because of COVID, we didn't use the pool at all this past summer (2020), but that was a matter of personal choice. The management did a great job of instituting a reservation system and keeping things as safe as possible for those that were a little less risk-averse, though. When it came time to look for summer swimming lessons it was an easy choice for us to chose Brighton. The pool and the area around it was always clean. I was able to relax and enjoy watching my daughter swim. My son did not take lessons but was able to go with me and entertain himself with the tetherball and pin pong table while he waited. The lessons themselves were awesome too. We had a young man named Johnathon whom my daughter adored. He was so good for her. He right on target at picking up on my daughters abilities and needs of improvement during the first lesson. He was a great teacher and was also able to be playful in his lessons to make it more interesting. Crystal Kurotori was super friendly and informative too. Over all the entire crew was great. We would definitely return for and recommend the facility for lessons.

I had already taken a variety of other Lagree classes before but I definitely needed a refresher on how to use the reformer. Olivia was thorough and listened to the needs of others who needed accommodations/modifications. She was also super motivated and challenged our class with her workout set. I came out the studio with my whole body quivering! The studio is very bright and allows for so much sunlight which I love. However, there seemed to be a little bit of a light funk of body odor that lingers throughout the place. I hope they find a way to circulate fresh air around the studio to make it a better visit next time!
