Great Polish ingredients and food! Service could be a little more pleasant though, kind of cold and uninterested.

Some of the best sandwiches in the area. Also, the hot food is fantastic. Bernat's is a gem!

Absolutely LOVE their Polish food & tried their buffet for the 1st time today! I believe they only…read morehave the buffet at lunch on Wednesday's? If you were there in the past year (& if you'd never tried their Polish food before) .. you may have been disappointed ( as I was) as they were temporarily using a local vendors foods. It was nowhere near as good as what Pulaski has always made & thankfully, they are back to making their own!! We spoke with Rachel, a very sweet lady who came out of the back to see how we liked everything... I told her only 1 complaint.. the foods just a little TOO good! Lol Rachel makes the pierogi & golumbki & does an excellent job at both! Our waitress ( sorry I can't remember her name) was also great & apparently she makes the kapusta, which was also very tasty. The dining room is clean though dated, however the bar is on the other side & completely done over & appears they did a nice job. Casual atmosphere, great food & service.

My Wife & I stopped here for lunch on/about the 11th of this month. I needed a Polish food fix…read morereally bad because it is hard to find GOOD Polish food West of the Rockies. (And I'm Irish, what the hell, eh?) About 1:00 PM, no waiting, very clean bar and banquet hall. Seat yourself, $15.00 & change for a Polish buffet that kept me full for the rest of the day! 2 types of Pierogis, kielbasy, sauerkraut and onions and golabkis AND a desert! FANTASTIC! I'd make the trip again just for the buffet and forget the family and the Big E!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heading home from a weekend in the Berkshires, we were think about lunch when I remembered this…read morespot which I had read about & made a point to keep it in mind for when I found myself in the area. My husband, who's grandmother immigrated from Poland, grew on this fare & he rarely gets to eat it now. So, he was thrilled! We easily found parking very close and, as it was a bit early in the lunch hour, found the place mostly empty. It was a cute, clean little cafe with several small tables to eat in. While we were there, the Monday lunch crowd quickly followed with dining & take-out orders. We ordered at the counter ( oddly, still protected by a huge plexiglass barrier ). The young lady was very helpful & knowledgeable with our menu questions. We ordered, paid and found ourselves a seat. When presented with the credit card payment, I noticed the gratuity pre-sets were at full-service levels & tipped as such. However, when we later realized that we picked up our own food & bussed our our table, we decided that we should have tipped for counter service. The food was spot on! Since i eat mostly vegetarian, I always find this type of cuisine challenging. But, a large list of house-made pierogis gave many options. I settled on a plate of six potato & cheddar with onion & sour cream. Since the kapusta here had no meat, I tried a side of that as well. The pierogis were perfect! Tender dough, flavorful filling - fantastic. The kapusta, a house made cabbage based kraut, was delicious as well & very filling! Half came home with me for another delicious meal. My husband, on the other hand, went all out with the PP - Polish Plate. He was thrilled to be able to mix & match the four pierogi, ordering three savory & one blueberry ( something his grandmother made which he's raved about for ever ). Like me, he found the pierogi perfect. He also enjoyed the kielbasa - very flavorful. The golabek ( what he calls golumpki ) had more rice than he prefers, but he wrote that off as personal choice and said it was very tasty & juicy. All in all, this was a good lunch stop & we'd return when in the area. Next time we'll be coming home with some of those delicious pierogi!

I tried the beef tripe soup, the Hungarian goulash and ice cream for dessert. The soup was out of this world, I loved it! The goulash, which was put on a small pizza, sized potato pancake, was also delicious! I'm definitely going back to The Belvedere, cuz it was worth every penny... Which in fact was reasonably priced for the portion. I highly recommend The Belvedere, and think you will be very happy & satisfied if you go there.

Belvedere was the best reviewed but we found the total experience disappointing despite some bright spots. First off, Little Poland has a reputation for food not warm, chatty service. Even with a reservation, the Belvedere staff seemed unprepared and almost disappointed we showed for our late reservation. We waited an inordinate amount of time for a larger table to fit us was cleared, without anyone taking a drink order or doing much of anything. Drinks were small and watery. Things perked up with the best borscht we've tasted, although it's served warm not the traditional cold. The Caesar salad was huge and tasty but not sure why it's on a polish menu. The pierogis were just ordinary; light on filings and served with absolutely nothing else; they were also lukewarm. The Galumpki was more generous and tasty but the potato pancake with goulash was a complete miss. The pancake while large was over fried and acrid at the edges and you were hard pressed to find a decent chunk of beef or piece of carrot in the meager drizzle of goulash on top. $26.95 for this? The atmosphere was a bit sterile and didn't have that old world feel we were looking for; Miami vice and 80's music videos on the bar TV didn't help. We can't really recommend this spot to others.
