My husband bought a vase of flowers for me from this fine business and, 5 days later, they are still beautiful. The Stargazer Lilies are now all in bloom and smell great. I mean Trader Joe's is great to pick up a cheap bouquet every now and then, but if you want some classy flowers that are arranged expertly and will keep on kicking long after inferior flowers have wilted, come to this place. I live in Northern California and needed to send flowers to a dear friend in Oxnard. I wasn't satisfied with the flower arrangements or of the time frames for delivery of flowers from any of the online flower sites. I called someone local and they suggested Bernardo's Flowers. I then called them directly and with only choosing the main flower to be included and my price range Bernardos delived the same day the most amazing arrangement. And the flowers were fresh enough to last. I was very happy with their service and ability to put together a beautiful bouquet from one flower requirement which my friend loved and received much enjoyment from. My aunt passed away and I wanted to order a sympathy wreath for her funeral. I called in the morning to place the order for what appeared to be a beautiful wreath online. Soon after my cousin called to tell me she wanted to order an arrangement from another company, she offered to in on it together so I called back 30 minutes later to cancel my order without any problem. Turns out my cousin and I decided to order the wreath from Bernardo's as their wreaths were better looking. I called back afternoon and placed my order again, I gave all information that was asked of me. The guy placed me on hold to check with the florist if all the roses were available, came back and said they had a lighter shade of pink for the roses.. I said no problem and jokingly asked for a discount. He said he couldn't give me one, and I said ok it was worth asking. He confirmed my order, date of delivery and total with delivery charge and taxes etc. Come the day of the rosary my aunts wreath was no where to be seen. The next morning I called Bernardo's, left a message and received a call back from someone whom I assume is the manager. He said the order was incomplete because I didn't give my cc information and I hung up before he could complete the order-- this is a lie. I explained I gave my cc the first time I placed the order so I assumed they would have it on file. I could've sworn I gave my cc number, but if I didn't than I should have been asked! I told him I did for sure give him my cell number, so he could have called me back and I would have given my cc over the phone. He said, well did you get charged for the wreath? And I said no, thank goodness. No apologies, just blame to the customer... completely unacceptable way of doing business. I ordered from Mom n Pops in Ventura for my mom the same day and the beautiful arrangement that I ordered was delivered. Mom n Pops customer service is great, and it took no more than 5 minutes to place my order. They even went as far as giving me their condolences. You want peace of mind knowing that your order will be delivered, especially for a funeral for your loved one. I would think twice before ordering from Bernardo's. read more

Saw this store on YELP went to it because of the great comments and I was not disappointed came in told them I just needed a dozen red roses in a bouquet nothing special and few minutes later he comes out from the back and gives me something more than what I was even excepting and I mean this in a good way, the flowers, the whole bouquet just beautiful definitely gonna be coming back here for future purchases and the prices were fair. read more

Bernardo's is the best!! My son in law is in the Army and stationed in Germany and he ordered flowers online from EspressDeliveryFlowers.com on MOnday and paid for same day delivery and 4 days later they were not delivered. He was so upset and asked for me to help him out, I called Bernardo's and explained my situation and my daughters flowers were delivered within 2 hours. This is the first time I buy flowers from this shop. I bought my mother flowers for Mother's Day (May 10th) to be delivered at her work. A bit skeptical I looked on their Website because I had to do a phone order and I like to look at the quality in person and emphasize the importance of every detail. The person who helped me was very professional and understanding of my request and even corrected my Spanish for the writing on the card, which I truly appreciate and took no offense to. They delivered the flowers as requested, before 1p.m. My beautiful mother was overwhelmed by the beautiful flower arrangement! Hearing my mother's happiness over the phone made every penny I spent on them worth it! She sent me a picture and they are absolutely amazingly beautiful! This is now my go to flower shop! Thank you!
