SHE DIDN'T FULFILL OR DELIVER MY WEDDING CENTERPIECES!!! This is a terrible business! We had our wedding at the Crowne Plaza and this is their vendor. Last August we met with the owner to pick out flowers. The wedding came with centerpieces for the reception. The owner was first nice, and we went over the centerpiece order. After we went over the order for the centerpieces we talked about the other flowers. The owner came up with an additional $1,500 in flowers for the wedding party and the arch. That was way out of our budget for flowers, so we politely declined. I Mentioned I wanted silk flowers for the arch for a few reasons, and she said it would look bad. She became very pushy and rude to us until we left. I realized the day of the wedding that this was the only vendor I had not heard back from, so I called and left a message. The owner never bothered to call back. This morning I received an email from the hotel stating, "I did speak with the florist and when she met with you last August you had mentioned that you did not want to use her, I am not sure if you had called after that point and I am so sorry for the centerpieces". I am at a loss for words. The centerpiece were included in part of the cost of the wedding, we ordered them, and paid for them. Why would I cancel, that makes no sense. The owner seems to be upset that we used a different florist for the rest of the wedding flowers. When we met last August, after she tried to push $1,500 in flowers we stated that we were just going to get the centerpieces. I never said I wasn't going to use her at all. It takes a pretty low and vindictive person to do this to someone on their wedding day. I decorated the tables with some beautiful shells, sand dollars and starfish, leaving a spot in the middle for the flowers. My guests didn't really notice because they didn't know, but I did. I spent a year and a half planning my wedding. I know things go wrong, but this shouldn't have been one of them. I shouldn't have cried at my reception over flowers. I saw gaps on everyone of my tables and I was crushed. It was an emotional day and we worked so hard to make it perfect for us. I've read other reviews that look like the owner is pushy and tries to upswell more that what the buyer wants. Don't use this florists. read more

We used Michelle and Passion Flowers for our June wedding at the Crowne Plaza and I am so happy we did! Initially, we planned to DIY our flowers due to budget constraints. We received insanely high-priced quotes from other vendors in the area before the Crowne Plaza referred us to her. Her prices are incredibly reasonable, she has a great vision when it comes to the displays and she's also a very nice lady to work with. In our initial consultation, I wanted very tropical greenery and with dark red and specifically dark red lilies. During our follow-up a few months before I changed my vision to more vibrant reds with a splash of contrasting color and she knew I was looking for a romantic look. Ventura is our home town. This shop is adorable!!! I sent my (even more) adorable DH to the flower mart here in downtown this morning and he returned empty handed! How could this be?!?? He said everything was, "cheezy" and "cheap looking". We're on a simple quest for something cherry and charming to bring his mom who is recovering from surgery. So depending on what it says, it could be a tiny bit awkward to have a personalized message written in someone else's handwriting. I ordered flowers for my wife for our one year anniversary, after looking at their pictures on their website. I decided on the "This Magic Moment" bouquet which in the picture looked full of pastel roses and mixed greenery, for $75. When it was delivered we were VERY disappointed!!!! The flowers were WILTED and BROWN! The greenery was sparce! And in the end they full amount charged came out to $91, falsely advertised! I called Michelle, the owner, and told her that we were disappointed with the arrangement and she had an attitude about my concern because she said she put the arrangement together herself. I asked for a replacement and even more attitude ensued. Finally we came to an agreement to have a bouquet of same value to be delivered. Once the replacement bouquet was delivered the delivery guy shows up to my wife's office and says in "Alright let's do this" and took back the original bouquet! What a jerk! I requested it be delivered to the bereaved family. It was beautiful and delivered on schedule. However, on the card with my name, were the words "thank you." I called Michelle. My intent was to advise her how inappropriate a "thank you" is during a time of mourning. Silly me for thinking I would get an apology.
