Luckily, we found Bernardo. He's an expert cobbler with reasonable prices. If something isn't worth fixing, he'll tell you. As other Yelpers have mentioned, access is confusing. Meet him at the back door podium. He'll know you're there because he has a camera. I wish Bernardo was open for longer hours and on more days, but we have a new cobbler. read more

Extremely poor workmanship on Birkenstock resole and cork rebuild. Cannot recommend for this purpose My Birks required a rubber resole, and the cork near the heel had also started to wear. I asked if they could resole with the Vibram rubber, which was supposedly more durable. I was told they are the same as the Birks rubber. I dont believe that and should have taken that as a red flag already Nonetheless, I was told they could help with the cork rebuild, sole replacement, and cork sealant. Price of $75 (which apparent is the same for sole replacement only). Cork sealant was complimentary which I appreciated. Turn around time in a week I was extremely disappointed when I saw the condition of my shoes upon pick up. This is what I noticed: - Visible large holes between the cork and sole, which he then filled on site. Still it is uneven all around. I shouldn't need to point these out in the first place - Excess pieces of rubber still hanging off. This should be a quite trim to finish it, but instead, looks very sloppy - The cork at the heel doesn't look rebuilt, or at least, not properly. There is a noticible thickness difference between the cork on the left vs right heels - The sealant application looks extremely poor. There are large visible raised build ups and air bubbles. There are large amounts of sealant in accidental spots on the leather. The obvious lack of care is extremely disappointing Not sure how they can be charging this amount of money for this quality of work. I needed a heel replaced on a boot. They advised that I replace both boot heels so that they would be even since they didn't have the exact heel of the original boot. It was $16. Seems like they have pretty fair prices especially for the area. I dropped off around 2 pm on Wednesday, they said the shoes would be ready for pickup Friday around the same time. My son somehow got a hole in two newer pairs of his shoes. I'm so glad I found this place. It was close to me and very convenient. I came by to see if they were is repairable and the gentleman said he could do the two shoes for $9 each. Oh man, am I happy. So I have a pair of Reeboks I wear to work. I've had them for somewhere between 15-25 years. I don't even remember when I got them. I think these are Reebok's version of the Nike Air Force 1. (But these are better!) There is something magical about the cushioning in the heel to the midfoot. Very comfortable. So the heels were starting to wear through, and my left clutch foot sole had actually split at the ball of my foot. (My car has a stiff clutch!) So Bernardo Shoe Repair replaced the sole. You can see in the pictures. The awesome thing? He matched the color between the new sole and the rest of the bottom rubber portion of the shoe. Very cool. Plus, I wore them after I picked them up at lunch back to work, and I realized late in the day, that I had completely forgotten about them, *because they felt identical to before the repair.* Awesome!
