I was told by more than one person how great Bill is at WTL. I called and asked for a consultation…read moreon my property for both treatments and pruning. The guy who came for the treatment consultation (Bartlett) was very nice, professional and had answers to my questions. Bill's partner who came to quote the pruning was nice enough but when I asked for a price, I was given a very vague answer that it would cost "X" but "X" wouldn't guarantee that the job would be complete. So I asked 2 more times what would be the cost to complete the job and finally I got an answer but it was 2X! Significantly higher than anyone else. I decided not to go with them. I was disappointed I didn't get Bill. Everyone said he's the honest one. He's the knowledgeable one. I noticed my neighbors aren't using WTL anymore either. Be careful when you sign with them. Make sure you read your contract. Be sure your quote is to complete a job, not just for part.

This company must have been terrific in years past, given how many of my neighbors recommend them…read more Sadly, not anymore. They took down a bunch of troubled trees. First, they screwed up the permit, filing an inaccurate description of the property. Whatever. Then, they failed to show up on the day of the appointment. Annoying, but forgivable. Then they did the work and I paid up. And then, last month -- three years after the job -- the local government writes me to say the permit was never closed. The company promised the village that we would replant seven trees. That seems like a sensible rule, and we will comply, BUT the company never bothered to tell us this and left the permit open. And when I called them to get their help closing out the permit, they ignored me. When I persisted, the guy who did the job, Remy, came out and said this was not his problem. But the village had sent me his permit language on his letterhead promising to do something he never did and never discussed with me. Surely that makes it his responsibility. He reluctantly said he would take care of this and then disappeared. I left messages for the owner, Bill Davies. He never responded. This is shady behavior.

I do not recommend at all. I paid $575 for two fall cleanups and our agreement was one to be done…read morein November and the other after thanksgiving, which he states he would do twice. He did the first cleanup on the 11th of November, so on Thanksgiving there were leaves all over and it did not appear to be done... But that was okay with me because I figured he was coming back. I inquired about our agreement on December 5th and when he would be coming back. He then states to me that he came before thanksgiving, states he did it on the 26th but I literally had leaves all over and that wasn't the agreement. So now the snow is melting and it's reaching 54 degrees on both December 9th and 10th and I am going to be left with leaves still all over and still coming off the trees. And when I do tell him that there were leaves all Over check out his response in the screen shot that he did a large quantity and to compare it to the a "tiny" bit he left behind. So you admit to a poor job but feel that it's okay. Please look at my screenshots of our text messages. Very Dishonest. I do not recommend at all.
