I've lived in the area for YEARS and had no idea about this shop. Anyways, it's amazing. Run, don't walk. There's no website but come here, it's pretty incredible. THE GOODS There's over 7 million pieces here to choose from. The specialties here are uniforms - police, old nurse uniforms, cheerleader, etc. Lots of amazing stuff for women resides on the top floor too. OBLIGATORY CATCHY REMARK Thunder Thighs was a nickname that the owner got when she was working in the industry (or high school. I forget). What a perfect name for a costume store. From small devil masks and bloody make-up to full costumes and even those funny 'blow-up' costumes. Jeff ( Geoff?) runs an enthusiastic staff who know what is hot ( new ) each year. Worst case you can call them up before driving over to browse. I would go early, at least 2 weeks before Halloween to ensure the widest selection but I have also dropped in 1 day before to find a small accessory to finish my costume. I suggest going with some clue as to the direction/theme of your outfit or plan to spend an hour just wandering the packed aisles. Have fun!!!

Prices were good, comparable or better than what I've seen online plus they helped me choose between grease and water based paint. I was in and out in under five minutes. I'll definitely be back the next time I need stage makeup when street make up is inadequate for my needs. They also have an assortment of costumes, magic items and various other things, but I didn't have a chance to check it all out. Cool place.
