If you ever wondered what to visit in Berlin, its Wall Exhibition memorial would be a place to go. Not only for the historical heritage, touching emotion but also if you just want to enjoy a visually appealing monument.
Historical heritage
There is now way you can miss the original pieces of the wall as you pass it. It is a thick concrete wall 'decorated' with graffiti to evince people's warrior attitude towards the repression. Along with the exposition part it tells the story and helps you get a better understanding about the Nazi ruled Germany.
Touching emotion
Pictures show the reality of WWII, such as Hitler being selected as the Chancellor of Germany, people cheering for him and then how crucial they were treated afterwards.
On the other hand, stories under the pictures reflect just the main action happening in them and doesn't build a story and empathize more with WWII victims. Despite that, it still makes you ponder the events and use your imagination.
Overall, the visual part tells a greater story than words and lets you feel the former emotion of the Hitler's Germany.
Visually appealing
Pictures, stylized banners are portrayed with chains representing not only the 'chains' of the wall, but also of the everyday life in the vertex of war. The whole exposition contains a lot of symbolism and lets you enjoy it as a piece of art. Tough, if you want to see a bigger part of the original wall, this is not the place and that left me slightly disappointed.
