**STREET ART WORKSHOP & TOUR**…read more WHERE: Met at noon (plenty of time to grab breakfast beforehand) at Alexanderplatz TV TOWER next to entrance of Starbucks. However, the tour ends at the workshop in Lictenberg. DURATION: 3.5-4 hour tour and workshop. COST: 18 euros per person and can book online. PART 1 ======= Took the back streets and discovered some of the latest, greatest, and oldest examples of street art, graffiti and mural art. Our guide, a street artist/expert on the scene, showed us some of the best: - stencil art - throw ups - mural art - tagging - ad busting - heaven spots - burners; and - installations while teaching us who was who and their motivations behind their artwork. PART 2 ======= We then visited their workshop in a former abandoned margarine factory in Lictenberg we were instructed how to stencil and spray paint. Yes, we took our piece home as well. So much fun. PRO TIPS: - Make sure to tip your guide. - Purchase an AB transport ticket for this tour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for those who like street art, graffiti, and history of Berlin.

You can obviously stop at the places you like or go back to them later. Berlin isn't really built for this service though. It moves slow due to some of the congested streets and necessary stops. It was OK for me since I was in town for a few days. Most of the major sites are not far from the city center. However, the tour did offer up some other further away sites that I would have taken otherwise. Tip: But a ticket that includes the boat tour if you want to spend a little time on the water. Trip is not that exciting, but something different.

However by buying a voucher at a shop, you still have to find someone out in the city with a flag and a hand held device that can actually give you tickets. They said buses came every 10 min but we waited more than 20 min both times we tried to catch a bus. One bus had an in person guide and that was definitely better value, more informative. The second bus was a pre-recorded, lame script between two guys making stake jokes. And most of the time the sound went in and out. Our last trip, was diverted due to a hemp fest and street closures and were were almost two miles from our starting point. The next morning, when we tried to get a full trip in, we couldn't find any buses dire to road closures because of a marathon. Save your money and find a walking or bike tour. It's a better value

Martina was our tour guide for Tour M and she was engaging, knowledgeable, friendly and fun! She made the tour interesting and was happy to answer any and all questions. They offer a bunch of different tours which cover different topics/aspects "Underground Berlin". We chose Tour M because it focused on the history of the Berlin Wall which we were interested in knowing more about, but there are other tours available that focus on other aspects, such as bunkers, WWII, etc. Be sure to read through what's available before you schedule your tour to ensure that you're signed up for the topic that interests you most. My husband and I had very little knowledge of the Berlin Wall and the history behind it prior to this tour. We left feeling incredibly informed yet hunger for more knowledge! Martina recommended a few movies and documentaries to watch for more information about the wall and we fully intend to watch them when we get back home. Thanks for an interesting and enjoyable experience! Next time we're in Berlin, we'll come back to experience a different tour with you.

I was wearing shorts and a small long sleeve which really didn't make me feel comfortable because this place is seriously seriously cold. I asked the guide if it gets any hotter in the summer time and he says it stays this cool. So be warned bring a jacket when you come here because the whole tour is literally under the streets of Berlin! The guide we got was not from Germany but from another country and spoke English quite well. The place is filled with many cool things to see and also the glow in the dark room is pretty awesome. I didn't even know they invented that kind of thng so long ago! Very factual tour and with many photos and items that are from that time period. Yes we aren't allowed to take pictures soo they can keep all these items for the next generation! I'm glad I actually went to this place and got to listen to this tour. It is a little bit long but if you have time check this place out, I really loved it and you probably will if you want to see what would happen if the bunkers.

We listened to the directions in English and learned quite a bit. We saw much more of the city than we would've if we had walked. At the end of the day, the bus stops abruptly at whatever stop they've reached. Ours was far from where we wanted to go because of traffic and construction in the city. We spoke to the driver and he was heading in the direction, so he cleared the bus but allowed us to stay on until our destination. We were so appreciative because of the pouring rain!! The buses were clean and the headphones hooked up easily. We've never done a tour like this, but will in the future.

City Circle was recommended by our hotel. We were however very disappointed. First, we found out after buying the tickets that due to a marathon, several stops were to be bypassed. We dropped off at an early point on the tour walked around for a few minutes and then returned to the stop. It took 30 minutes for the next bus to arrive. The employee at the stop knew nothing about when to expect another bus. When it arrived, there were no seats so we stood and could not listen to the headset. At the next stop, we got off and waited for another--this bus sped through four stops so we had to get off and walk back to the boat tour. The boat tour was not marked and we had to search it out. Boat tour was lovely with an attentive crew. We then waited again for another bus so one more stop and the tour day was over. It was expensive, poorly run. so for Berlin--get on the great train/subway system and take your phone! Avoid these folks.
