When you arrive as an American to Norway it is a very different experience to hit up a movie theater. You automatically compare a Norwegian cinema to an American one and of course, are left a little disappointed at first. But in reality, the Bergen Kino is pretty kickass. The screens are super clear. The staff is awesome. They host the Bergen International Film Festival which is honestly superb. The concession stand selection is quite awesome...despite allowing one to take their own food into the theater (big WIN in my book compared to American cinemas). All in all...going to the movies in Norway is quite a great experience. Sure, theaters are smaller, but so is the country. :) Definitely recommend the Bergen Kino. read more
