While this is technically a Theatre- this review is for the bar on the second floor, which is open to the public even if not attending a show.
Our local friends love this bar and often invite us to meet them here. When the theatre is in session- it's quiet, chill, and relaxing. There's a small surge of people during intermission and then it gets crowded and lively after a show lets out.
The beer/wine selection is sufficient for essentially a theatre bar and it's a great place to have a group of friends meet up. The library and balcony provide a slightly more intimate setting than the main room, but it's generally good for conversation as there isn't music playing loudly or a band to overpower conversation.
A bonus moment happened in which we also shared a beer with one of Norway's most famous actors (as declared by our friends). Apparently it's a performer's chill spot for a nightcap. read more
