I rented skis through the AlpinResorts website for a week of skiing in Grindelwald. My flight out…read moreof the US was cancelled and I left a day later. Not wanting to have my rental cancelled, I emailed their general email address and got a prompt reply confirming that my rental would still be good. Upon getting to Grindelwald, the shop is located on the main street. The rental portion of the shop is located downstairs. The selection of skis was excellent, with a good selection of all-mountain and racing skis. All of them looked brand new. This is a bit unusual, as I've definitely had some well-used skis in the past. The staff member who assisted me set the skis up perfectly. He felt bad that I had pre-paid for the rental via the website and mentioned that AlpinResorts can be difficult to work with around trying to get a partial refund. I mentioned that I had travel insurance and would pursue it through that avenue, but I appreciated his concern and commentary. He had some interesting tips for where to ski in the area and mentioned that the snow wasn't all that great to start the week. He said that if I didn't like my choice, a pair of Volkl's, I was more than welcome to bring them back and swap out for something else. At the end of the week, returning skis/poles were a breeze.

We purchased quite a bit of misc skiing supplies, gloves, boots, ski pants, plus bathing suits for…read morethe hot tub. All those transactions were great. My disappointment came with our ski rentals. We rented skis, Boots, and poles for 3 days. On the second day, someone took my granddaughters skis and left theirs by mistake. We didn't discover this until we got to the slopes the next day because the name label came off the skies. So my grand daughter didn't get to ski that day. We turned in the skis and they told us the other skis were already turned in. No one at Quattro tried to contact us they wouldn't say when her slides were turned in by the other customer but there was a chance that we have have been able to make an exchange with the people and save a skiing day for both children. The store has our name, phone and email because we belong to the loyalty program. We were really disappointed.
