Bretons offers a great place for burgers and fries. Everything was perfectly cooked and our picky little girl even finished her chicken fingers. I tried them and they have a great deep fry batter that had just a little sweetness, delicious. Shakes where fresh with real strawberry and would be worth the trip by themselves. However with a group of six it seems to take about 25 minutes for entrees so expect a little wait with a large family. Awesome experience. read more

Burgers were very good. We only stopped here based on the reviews. We were a little cautious when we pulled up but decided to give it a try. The inside seating is limited but the staff cleaned off a table for us and we were seated. There is additional seating outside but it was too cold for us to eat outside. There was a little wait for our food, but they were quite busy during our visit. We all enjoyed our food. We would stop again if we are in this part of town. read more

Bentons' looks like a small greasy cafe, provides the menu of a typical fast food joint and the price of a better grade restaurant! In fact, I wrestled with undertaking this review because I never obtained my food after the unprofessional treatment I received. As the Coronavirus panic spreads I decided to write on the impact it is having on the private businesses in a small town. I chose one grocery store, one pharmacist, one restaurant and one gym for my article. I chose Bentons' at the recommendation of a local, as the restaurant has closed it's dining area to the public and is doing only pickup. While I was out, I begin having a bit of an appetite and thought I would order something to eat while I was there. The price was a bit high for such a low-grade establishment, but I thought the burger may be fantastic. I don't always judge a book by it's cover. I intended to purchase something to go after I asked the management two simple questions. To begin with, I had to wait five minutes for either of the two cashiers at the window to speak to me. They accommodated one customer, who was sitting on the bench waiting for their order; no one else in line, nor on the premises. It appeared as if the two cashiers were more concerned about paperwork. They merely threw me a passing glance. They acted as if they were hoping I would go away. Once they finally spoke to me, I asked to speak to the owner/manager to ask a question, then I intended to place my order. When he came to the window and saw my journalist badge, he rudely said,"I am extremely busy and I do not have time to speak to you." He had no idea if I had a complaint, or what I needed, he just made it plain I was not an important customer. I left the restaurant without placing my order and went to another restaurant to have lunch. In conclusion, this cafe is greasy looking, pricey and the employees are extremely unpleasant. As for taste, I never made it that far because I couldn't make it past the rest of the ordeal. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Benton;s has good backyard style burgers and their fries were very good, however, the fried pickles were limp and soggy with oil which was very disappointing. The chicken strips were tasty. Half of the fried mozzarella sticks were empty and the remaining ones only had about half a tube of cheese, but the part that had cheese in it was good. read more

The grilled chicken which comes with slaw, french fries and rolls or hushpuppies is very good. We always get the hushpuppies with ours. We've also had hamburgers and hamburger steaks which those are also very good. We have always had good service and the employees have always been very sweet. It's always a pleasant time when we go there. And the prices are reasonable. read more
