Wanted to purchase a new pathfinder, started the process, filled out an application have them all the specifications and they ran my credit only to tell me 10 minutes later the pathfinder I wanted was sold so "Sean" tried to find another one and it was $4k more expensive than the one I tried to buy! Benton Nissan of Columbia Tennessee is terrible. Besides the overstaffed waiting room where hospitality workers constantly offer water or coffee ( like every 10 minutes) They upsell a lot. Services that a high school person with no training could do, they charge an arm and a leg. Plus deceptive foot in the door pricing tactics that left a bad taste in my mouth. Had a really bad experience here. The only saving grace was Frank in the service department. We took in a car to replace the transmission and left with an additional noise problem from the transmission as well as a broken seat. They fixed the seat at no charge and charged me only for the part for the transmission noise, but the transmission noise was still there! I noticed it the second I turned on the car so I told them. They did nothing about it! Now there's additional noise coming from the car that certainly will cause problems in the future and I'll have to pay for it. I searched for a car for a week. I saw a great trade in deal and starting texting Dillion who went above and beyond in the HEAT to take pictures of cars for me. I drove an hour to this dealership. The service department here is amazing! They are always quick to service the vehicle and give you a very reasonable price. The place is spotless too!....Not your typical service department....You could eat off their floor lol! You can tell the entire dealership has been remodeled lately as it's all state-of-the-art. And the staff is very helpful and professional. It seems to be a family business. I see the owner and his sons every time I come in. I'll preface this with, I hate purchasing vehicles and the waste of a day sitting around at the dealership to do so. I purchased an Armada two days ago. I was met on the lot and helped by Austin McManis. Austin was no pressure, answered my questions and helpful in every way. I had a trade in and got a fair offer; a $1000 more than what a competitor had offered. To complete the finance paperwork I met with James Frierson...great guy, organized and very personable! When all was said and done I don't think that I was there from start to finish in much more than two hours! The experience (for having to purchase a vehicle) was great. I came to this location because the website and my electric car told me they had a quick charger and this is not true. The people on the lot did not know anything about the chargers on the lot and also the charger in the front of the building was broken and did not charge my car when I came back to get it. I had to charge the car in the back of the building and was pissed. I don't know how anybody in Columbia, TN can buy a electric car and that is crazy. I will not go back there again. read more

I took my Nissan Titan there for service. They replaced one front wheel bearing. The truck was still making noise when turning to the right. They said to replace the tires. Ok, replaced the tires. Noise was still there. I took it to the Nissan dealer in Dickson. They replaced the other front wheel bearing and the noise was gone. Service at Benton Nissan sucks. read more

I called yesterday afternoon to see if someone could look at my Rogue, it isn't even 2 yrs old. I had a left front tire down to 18 psi, and wanted them to look at it. The woman who works in the service dept. said that they didn't have anyone to look at it and it would be Friday before she could have anyone to look at it. I took it down to Firestone in Columbia they showed me 2 puncture holes in the tire and replace it. I was in and out in less than 1 hour. This is my second tire I had to replace this year. Five star rating for automobile repair place?! Yep, and every single star is deserved! My husband was in the hospital and I was on my way to see him when a nice gentleman informed me that my brake lights were not working. I tried to find an open garage nearby, but no luck. Then, I remembered Benton Nissan (bought my car from their predecessor) so drove over there. I expected it to take forever (it was a Saturday morning) and to cost a small fortune - can you tell how much I trust automobile repair places? There were seven other people in the waiting area with me, so I got some coffee (it was pretty good, too!) and had a seat. About an hour later, they called my name and told me my car was ready. That was fast! The price was a lot less than I was expecting and, they had washed it, filled the tires, and did a few other little things that were very appreciated! I think the thing I liked the most was the friendly staff and that they respected our time. So, Benton will now be taking care of my car. Thank you, Benton Nissan! Several months ago we were working with one of their sales people but didn't make a purchase because we couldn't come to terms on a firm drive out price. The sales person gave us his cell number and told us to call him if we ever changed our mind. We never called him back. Several weeks later we started receiving multiple phone calls from his cell phone. No one would say anything. They would just mention my name and then belch and burp. OMG! My wife and I went looking for a vehicle to purchase. We met with a nice salesman and test drove two vehicles. Neither was a good fit but in our price range. Before we left, we "HAD" to meet with the manager- it turned out to be the "CLOSER." He was an a$$! Saw a used Jeep that Benton Nissan advertised online. I called Thurs and Fri trying to get a final price before driving 5 hours to the dealership. I was given the sales price by phone and text. When I arrived to buy the Jeep there was over $5,000.00 in hidden fees. I was so angry and after expressing my frustration for wasting my time and money driving 5 hours there, I just got in the car and drove 5 hours back home. This is the most dishonest dealership I have ever dealt with. Worse case of false advertising and flat out dishonesty.
