The food here was incredible, went hear earlier today and the service was on point and the ambiance was inviting and relaxing. Definitely recommend and will be coming back! Oh and I suggest the udon noodles or the the special chicken teriyaki bento

    The Knockout was awesome.

Bento This has been one of our favorite neighborhood places, but so often it happens, that their popularity affects service and quality. The last two times we visited were really disappointing experiences. Tonight, service was non existent. We got there early and were the first table. We ordered some sashimi and chicken bowls. They came out timely. However, only one other table seated and we couldn't get water filled while eating. Eventually other tables were seated and it was half full. We were still waiting for water and a sushi order. I don't mind waiting, but no one stopped by to make sure we were ok. Over 30 minutes later they came with water and we asked for the remaining sushi order to be boxed up and a check. A few minutes later, they brought the food to the table without boxing it. They simply didn't listen. No apology or recognition. The sashimi didn't taste as fresh as the past and this was the second such recent experience. I hope this is temporary.

Nice small spot that has a pretty extensive menu. The prices were very reasonable and food was fresh and fast. We ordered takeout and it was ready exactly when it said it was. Everything was packaged nicely. The sushi itself was good. The teriyaki udon noodles were our favorite however ! Very delicious flavor, fresh ingredients, and cooked to perfect. A good takeout option for some sushi/Japanese !

Great pricing and cozy, intimate atmosphere. Went here with a small group for my birthday and it was great!

    Bulgogi Ramen and Gyoza

Portions are decent, price is a little high. Gyoza: really good $5 Miso: really good $2.50 Ramen (extra noodles) : good but overpriced $12.50 Bulgogi Ramen: good but even more overpriced $13 Cali rolls: good but for $7 expected more. Make sure to check order because we've still never had their fried rice because it was never delivered.

Ya'll, this is very much a Koreanized Japanese restaurant. And that's super important to know. It's not an issue, I quite enjoy the Korean versions of a lot of dishes, but definitely something I'd like to know before going. I ordered the bulgogi Kobe ramen, a maki roll (that I can't recall the name of), and jalapeño bombers. My counterpart ordered chicken udon and gyoza. The gyoza (that I stole) were my absolute favorite! Super crispy and delish! The jalapeño bombers were okay... they were deep fried and stuffed with cream cheese and spicy tuna. The spicy tuna had a drier texture almost like canned tuna... not what I'm used to but not necessarily wrong. We both noted that the jalapeño bombers would've been our favorite if the jalapeños were cooked a touch so they were softer, but overall a good dish. The maki roll was fine, the white tuna on top was a good touch. Ordering anything with bulgogi, I was not confused as to whether or not it was Korean, I was all on board. The bulgogi was delicious... just sweet enough, super flavorful, and a great portion size. What I didn't particularly care for was the ramen noodles that were clearly the variety you'd find in large quantity boxes at the Asian grocery store... those are fine and dandy for a quick bite when I'm at home, but not so much when I'm out. It honestly kind of cheapened the texture and taste. I'd definitely order their bulgogi again in another dish though. One other thing... their customer service is stellar! There was one waitress taking care of all the tables and she handled it with ease!

The food is good, but their hours are not very convenient for lunch. Dinner time is okay. A little pricey however.

It's alright for a quick bite but food doesn't have much flavor the rolls taste very plain. I love sushi always trying new places.

The Google results still reference the old name and this Yelp page still shows the reviews for the old name so I'm not sure if this is just a fresh branding or actually a new concept or what. That confusion aside, I placed a takeout order online. Afterwards I realized I was charged a fee for this so if I order here again it'll be by phone... they also ask for a tip despite no service being involved which I think we're all pretty sick of. I ordered a chicken Thai basil entree, wonton soup, and the appetizer sampler. 50+ dollars when all was said and done which seemed like a lot for the quantity honestly. The email said my food would be ready in 30 minutes, it was faster. That's good technically but if you planned around that your food would be cold by the time you picked it up so just head right over after ordering. It only took 15 minutes, possibly 20. Walked in after getting my message that my food was ready but no one was at the counter. I think I waited 5 minutes for a worker to show up and hand me my order which was just sitting in front of me anyway. Can you tell we're not off to a great start? I get my food home and fix myself a plate with some of everything. VERY hit or miss. Let's talk the sampler first. Fried shrimp rolls were pretty good. Executed well if just a bit bland. Egg rolls were sad, just not very good and really no substance to them. Potstickers are small and just ok. Worst Crab Rangoon I've ever had. Tiny, not crunchy, a teaspoon of cream cheese for filling and certainly no discernable crab whatsoever. Hard pass on those and this sampler platter as a whole. The wonton soup was a slight improvement. Nice broth with a strong garlic flavor I enjoyed and tasty dumplings. The pork in it was dry and not worth eating but not awful, but this was basically a small soup for 15 dollars and it was pretty average. I'd expect more quality and/or quantity at that price point. Now, my Thai basil entree was the standout. And it REALLY stood out. This was great! Maybe the best iteration of this dish I've had, and it's my go-to Thai dish. I ordered medium spicy 2 times on their online ordering system, it asks 2 times and I'm not sure why. One was listed as "food prep" the other had no listing so I was, again, confused. I just locked it in twice and hoped for the best and it was perfect! I like it hot enough to clear my sinuses but it's a fine line and this hit the mark. Flavor, heat level, doneness, all nailed. It came with a small white rice that wasn't very fresh. The place has a fair amount of tables but it was quiet and awkward in there. They need some music or something. So yea, this place is kind of all over the place. Would I come back for that Thai basil? I definitely will. Would I recommend anything else I ate? Not really. Overall I wasn't impressed with the price to quantity ratio, and the quality didn't do much to make up for that. Maybe stick to authentic Thai dishes when ordering here and skip the generic Asian dishes. They DO offer sushi and a few other Japanese dishes and I didn't try any of that, so I can't speak on that side of the menu.

You couldn't tell what style of cuisine they were serving. Staff is friendly and pleasant. What would I expect from a place called Teriyaki Sushi Grill? Something kinda in the realm of Japanese, perhaps? We tried the beef/shrimp teriyaki, the chicken teriyaki, and some maki rolls. The chicken teriyaki + fried rice totally works. It doesn't resemble anything authentic, but the portions are huge (like everyone else had said), cooked fresh on a griddle, and the flavors work. The beef is a tad tougher - it sits on the rice and some mixed veg slaw. The maki is just not... um, stay away from the sushi. It doesn't work. There was a fair amount of people there, plus a good amount of takeout orders. So this is something the locals "understand" but I don't. There are bags of chicharrones for sale and jarritos drinks are in the cooler, so this place certainly must know their audience more than me.
