    I have been to this store now three separate times and they are always out of the Fromm Weight Management food. Time to shop elsewhere.

Sorry, but when we come in WEEKLY and buy the exact same items, yet get charged a different amount every single time & then when we finally ask for a receipt for once to discover you over charged us you want to claim we somehow hid the "extra item". You searched your database to find my personal phone number to call to yelling at us & refusing to even allow us to speak. The second we'd try to say anything you'd hang up like a child. Your manager needs some serious training on proper customer service & how to actually talk AND listen to people. Also, learn to properly label your animals. just like the bamboo I called you out on before, that "banana spider" you have in there does not carry the spider morph. it is just a plain, single gene banana. When we pointed it out to one of your associates last week when we were in, he told us "yeah, we know, but we think it has a "wobble" so we labeled it as spider too. That's not how that works! Stop ripping people off & then yelling at them when your called out on it. Your manager needs to put her narcissism to the side, as someone who has worked retail management for over 10 years myself, I could never imagine telling a loyal customer who shops at my establishment multiple times a month, every month, for over 5 years now to never return rather than just accept that maybe my sales associate made a mistake. You are a grown, beyond middle aged woman, who acted like a toddler. Learn proper customer resolution skills!

    Our family spent about 6 weeks going in and out of Petland Racine. We spent hours with a variety of…read morepups and had a lot of discussion with the staff. We found the store to be clean and always full of customers. My wife and I had several discussions with the store owner, Adam. He has been with Petland for 20 years and took over this store 3 years ago. He answered our questions on their breeders to include how pups were raised, space for them, transportation to the store, and the tracking of genetic defects. A number of photos with information were available on many of the breeders they used. I took Petland for their word and did not personally check into each breeder. A vetrinarian I play tennis with and not associated with Petland, told me he has seen some excellent dogs come from the store. We decided to buy two pups, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a miniature Australian Sheppard. The Aussie was vibrantly healthy and the Cavalier had the slightest hint of a puppy cough (which they made aware to us from the start and which they provided medication). The animal was cleared by their vet the day we brought him home. The dogs were expensive compared to buying from a local breeder, but Adam did some trimming of the cost for a number of reasons. I think the full range of support with access to a variety of pups, microchip registration, confidence in the AKC/APRI, their research into their breeders, warranties, education aids and the several vet screenings done on each animal, offset things I wasn't sure I would get from a local breeder. How long would it take me to truly be informed on all those areas? Petland employee Natalie, spent a whopping 2.5 hours with us the night we brought the dogs home, covering the myriad of details from food to fleas to potty training that needed to be addressed. All in all, so far as we don't run into any future issues that aren't handled properly, the experience was VERY positive. Most importantly, WE LOVE THE NEW PUPS!

Every batch of puppies look identical, they overbreed momma dogs, which is 100% animal abuse. They also do no genetic or health testing for their puppies, as you may notice when you visit lots of puppies are coughing and sneezing. But they have no problem selling you a sick puppy to make a couple thousand. They care about quantity and not quality. Please do your research about pet stores and puppy mills. DO NOT get your puppy from here!!

It was a sad moment for all of us but they explained everything clearly and took care of her with great care and kindness.

But I hope to save another Racine County resident the headache that I just had to go through due to their lack of self awareness. This goes back a few months. I brought my two dogs, one for a groom and one for just a nail trim. At that time I brought in their updated paperwork for their rabies shots. I remember the day clearly because a groomer CUT a dog on the back leg. The manager told the groomer to call their vet and to call the owner. Fast forward to today. I brought my dogs in and was told that I needed to show the paperwork for their rabies. I was told the groomer (she has a nose piercing) that I brought in that paperwork the last time I was there. She said well we can't see the dogs - I asked if I could bring it in when I picked them up. She said that I knew about needing to bring the paperwork from the text message they sent that i confirmed. I pulled up the text (I will post it below). "Just a friendly reminder that your Full Service Groom; Dog Nail Trim And Electronic Nail File appointment for Roxie; Olive with Pet Supplies Plus is on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 12:30PM. Enjoy!We are holding this time for Roxie; Olive and our team is commissioned based so if you need to make any changes to your appointment, please notify us today by calling (262) 554-9898 so we can reschedule you.Please ensure you bring proof of current rabies (signed by a vet) if this is your first visit or you have an updated document. We appreciate your business and looking forward to seeing Roxie; Olive.Reply 1 to confirm" It clearly says in the text "Please ensure you bring proof of current rabies (signed by a vet) if this is your first visit or you have an updated document". I asked why was not not aware that their employer never put in the updated rabies paperwork? Better yet, call me to inform me that it was needing to be updated and to bring paperwork in. The groomer told me that, that was not her job and that I should have know that from the vet. They never took responsibility for them dropping the ball. I should have walked away when I saw the groomer cut the dog but I definitely have learned my lesson now. Stay with SMALL BUSINESS!! Thankfully a local company can get our dogs in Wednesday!
