I really like this shop, it's full of leather and tools and accessories for working with leather. Not that I do, but if I have to go back to get leather or anything like that I will go to this one. Railspur alley is one of those spots that is a bit quieter, and while still a little touristy seems to cater a bit more to local tourists and local shoppers. Hartman is a leather workshop that offers handcrafted leather belts, wallets, and bags. They have a nice selection and are priced really reasonably for handcrafted. Most of the items are made right there in the workshop. Picked up a really nice handmade belt that was a very high quality leather with nice workmanship for just $40! For that price in the department stores you would get a mass produced belt of much lower quality. Quite happy to support a local business as well! So venture out of the market and explore the little offerings around the island - you might be pleasantly surprised!

Took a pair of shoes to have the souls glued. Got them back and wore them once. One of the souls…read morehadn't been glued properly and immediately the soul separated at the toe. I took them back a few weeks later when I had time. The same person who I dealt with originally said he didn't remember the shoes and there was no evidence of his glue being on the shoe that was separating. The shoe that wasn't separating would of course have had signs of his glue, as would have sections of the other shoe. I have no idea how he was so sure I was trying to scam him out of some glue but he made it sound like I was simply lying to him and I'm some kind of glue thief. $27 not so well spent.
