Cut into it and that runny yolk pours right over the warm corned beef, adding an extra layer of rich, creamy goodness. Messy in exactly the right way. We also had the liver pâté and egg salad, along with the classic pickles and crunchy bagel chips. Everything tasted fresh, generous, and exactly like a great old-school deli meal should. There are plenty of places to get a sandwich in Dallas, but when it comes to this kind of deli food, Deli News is hard to beat. Great portions, great flavors, and food that makes you want to come back before you've even finished lunch. That corned beef, egg, and runny yolk combination alone is worth the trip. Cannot beat it anywhere in Dallas.

First, the spot is actually really cozy and has a well-maintained neighborhood vibe. It's self-seating so we picked a spot near the huge flatscreen so we could also watch a little television. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu is HUGE, so maybe study it a bit to cut down on decision fatigue. I was initially torn between a breakfast plate and the cheese blintzes. I figured, why not go with the blintzes, because you don't really see as an option much these days. I also got a side of cherry compote and orange juice. The orange juice was nice and pulpy. As for the cheese blintzes and the cherry compote- I think I could've done without it- it made it too sweet. But, it was served in the side, so iI just didn't eat much of it. The blintzes themselves were very good and definitely had a very gratifying texture. Slightly sweet on their own, but not too much. My husband had the franks and beans. I didn't try them, but I did snag a French fry and it was very good- golden and perfectly crispy with a piping hot soft center. Prices were a bit steep, but this is a neighborhood restaurant and iI think it's always good to support locally when you can. Goodness knows, prices for goods is high and labor is not cheap. Overall, I would definitely consider coming here again, but this time I would like to try one of their breakfast plates to get a better baseline.

I was always greeted immediately upon walking in and the staff was very nice and helped me with placing takeout orders. Service was always fast, and the food was so good. Over the days, I ordered a Ham&Cheese, Reuben, Club, and Patty Melt. The Reuben was my absolute favorite. I liked that the corned beef and pastrami was not too salty. The rye? bread that was used was sooo soft and fluffy which is what made this place memorable to me. Side pickle was also crunchy and tasty and I liked the potato salad! Thank you for making my court days a little bit better. I'm glad there are other locations so I don't need to return downtown to get a great sandwich again!

A coffee, mocha, and chocolate. Unfortunately, the coffee and mocha cakes were extremely disappointing. Both had a strong taste that reminded me of some type of cleaning product. I can't say for certain what caused it, but guessing maybe something from the display case, but the flavor was so HORRIBLE that I only managed two bites of each before throwing them away because I didn't feel comfortable eating any more in fear of getting sick. The coffee frosting also had an old, stale coffee flavor. The chocolate cake was better. It was good, but not great. The cake itself wasn't dry, but it wasn't super moist either. One detail I did appreciate was that each slice was wrapped with paper along the sides to help keep it fresh, and not drying out in th I would have gladly taken the cakes back, but I had purchased them to go and was already too far away by the time I tasted them. As someone who absolutely loves cake, I truly wanted this place to become a favorite. It was disappointing because I had such high hopes based on the reviews. While the atmosphere and customer service were wonderful, the cakes simply didn't meet my expectations.
