    Oh the irony: for a bed shop called 'Dreams', this placed turned out to be a total NIGHTMARE!…read more I went shortly after opening time and walked in to find all but one of the staff congregated near the till, lolling on the beds and watching one of the display TVs on a bed. Unfortunately, that was just the start of the whole nightmarish episode.... 1. I gave one of the bed's headboards a wiggle to gauge its sturdy-ness, only to be bellowed at by a young lad by the till saying "Don't worry, it's a solid head board. Don't forget that at home it'll have the wall behind it supporting it" - err... what?! Surely, a decent head board wouldn't need to be supported by a solid wall? 2. After being shown around all of the selection (which was good, I have to admit) and trying out the variety of mattresses, I decided that I would chew over the information at home. Unfortunately, the salesman wasn't happy that I wouldn't tell him which of the ones I'd seen I was interested in and kept saying "but which one did you like" about 3 times. 3. I needed to buy some pillowcases and found a pack of two that were clearly labelled £6.99. I picked up two packs and took them to the till. I tried to pay with cash, but they didn't have any change. I gave them my card only to see that he'd charged me £7 on the hand-written receipt (it wasn't like he'd scanned it and it had come up at £7). He just had decided to charge me more. 4. Whilst I'd been looking around the linen department, I saw a fitted sheet that had a handwritten sale sticker on it saying £12.99. I then noticed that the full price printed sticker under this one read £12. So not only were they trying to pass off items as being reduced, which there weren't. There were also marking-up items from their original price. Both of which are against trading law. If the whole situation hadn't been so awful, I could have imagined that I was on the set of a comedy show like The Office, but set in a bed showroom. Benson's for Beds is right next door, my advice is to go there. We did and we were very happy.

I waited ten days for delivery of bed not bad as ordered over christmas! however then when I came to asemble the bed there were parts missing the parts were ment to be already fitted to the bed frame so that I could fit the loose parts delivered onto the frame myself. I was staight on phone and after waiting nearly 15 mins to speak to someone was assured parts would be dispatched to my store asap I requested (should have been offered) free assembly as a thank you. Called next day to be told parts were on way. Called store manager knew nothing about it,waited 2 days called main office was told wrong parts were ordered and that I would have to wait until in stock and that would be another week and a half. The customer service standard was terrible the waiting time awful and I would never order again from them nor would I recomend them to anyone.

They also delivered a 6 inch mattress which was £160 cheaper than the one I ordered. They have been promising a replacement mattress since 11/02/2026 and had me wait in all evening last night for delivery but never came and are now ignoring my calls/texts and emails!! They have literally ripped me off for £160.

Pretend excuses about vans breaking down, English isn't the first language for the customer service team and I'm Scottish so the accent barrier was pretty difficult, no one knows what was being said. THEN because of all the stress they caused me, I was offered for the delivery team to build my bed on delivery! This was not the case! I had to build it on my own! They also sent ONE delivery driver to my house which I clearly stated in great length I was 3rd floor no lift, after I placed & paid my order I was told this was a problem so I had to pay an EXTRA delivery charge at the door! Was not stated on the site , So I assumed I wouldn't have to carry my KING SIZE bed & Mattress up because I was paying extra CASH(dodgy), the man carried the base with great struggle, slamming it off every wall & stair, my LIGHT GREY bed isn't grey at all it's navy! And cheap , if I could leave zero stars I would. I tried to cancel this order 3 times! They do not take no for an answer! Was told I'll get the bed even after I told them I was contacting police/trading standards , It's take it or leave it , I have a bed to sleep on until I buy a new one , which I will have to soon because it's an eye sore in my house. Should not be operating a company with these standard in the uk. Cheap materials, flimsy bed. Wrong colour! Over charged, I had to help carry it, I'm a woman!     We recently (on boxing day sale) bought a bedstead and mattress from Sleepmasters. It was delivered…read moreon 20-01-10 and the mattress has caused us nothing more than severe back aches, neck aches and sleepless nights. We got Sensaform Cirrus 2000 mattress, which we were told had been specially designed for extra comfort. However,from the very first night,we have experienced 'comfort' replaced by 'back and neck aches' to say the least.We normally are very athletic and have never come across back or neck problems.Even our 8 year old son has now developed a back ache because of this mattress. I contacted sleepmasters last week, and they suggested that they don't undertake any returns and refunds (something we were not made aware of when we were purchasing the mattress). On speaking to them, they say that the only option I have is (upto 6 weeks of delivery) to exchange it with any other mattress and if i thought the product was faulty,i would have to wait for minimum 3 months - before i could raise it as faulty,and by then I would loose my option of exchange also if product is 'deemed' not faulty. If we wanted to go ahead with exchange in initial 6 weeks period, they will charge 10% of original mattress price + delivery charges and won't refund any price difference if we chose any cheaper mattress. We got this mattress for £950 so in nut shell it will cost us another £130 to get this faulty product exchanged. We find this to be a complete violation of our Statutory rights and against the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as the mattress is not fit for purpose made known. We have now contacted Consumer Direct, and if Sleepmasters don't refund our full money soon we will also also contact trading standards and legally challenge them if need be. We will not let them go scot-free for the awful products they sell.

They won't replace it because we didn't buy a base from them even though we were asked to send a photo proving our base was sound. Like the above review, we weren't able to follow step 2 of their own complaints procedure. I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor and was just told they'd say the same thing. We thought it useless to go to step 3 and write a complaint as it says it just gets passed onto another customer services representative who has yet to listen to your complaint. One person said she'd speak to the supplier to see if they could do anything for us. When she got back to me she said as a good will gesture if we paid another £120 we could choose another mattress but if it was a cheaper one we'd still have to pay it! I then said are you now going to speak to the supplier to which she replied "why would I do that?" Nice. DON'T GO TO SLEEPMASTERS!!!
