I love the laughter of kids enjoying their day at the beach. Paying the full admission fee at 4:30pm not so funny. But my own fault because I never bought beach pass this year. There are park benches, picnic tables & shelters, and a playground. The park was fenced in and the playground was in decent shape. There were swings, a large playscape, and digging apparatuses. The waterfront access allows visitors to go to a dock and fish or enjoy the water view. It's a quaint, quiet, and safe place for kids and parents.

A small place with…read moregreat neighbors Beavertail Aquarium is a small, cramped and kind of stinky place. Pretty dark and not much room to move about, especially if a whole herd of kids are stuffed in the room. It's still a pretty cool place though. A couple of tanks filled with fishies and crustaceans and various old posters and fish models hanging around. Certainly not the biggest or most impressive aquarium in New England but it is free and the young lady working there was willing and able to answer the tsunami of questions she was assaulted with. The best thing about the aquarium is the location, Right next to the majestic Beavertail Lighthouse and the very cool Beavertail Museum, the aquarium has some very impressive neighbors. Beavertail park is situated right on the southern most tip of the island so it gets pounded by wind and waves and the views are spectacular in all directions. A fun place to go in heavy weather. The aquarium is just one small part of the whole experience. No, it's not very big but it is free, fun and very cool. They don't have a gift shop so you can't buy a crummy t-shirt here but they do sell some very nice crummy t-shirts and other trinkets in the museum right next door. Not some place really worth going out of your way to see but if you are in the park it's definitely worth a visit.

The reason why i give this 5 stars is because since it is sort of an peninsula, the wind is very strong here, and was blowing in my face. That may bother some people, like it bothered me. Free parking is available, and this place is right next to the beavertail lighthouse musuem. cute and small, and has an explorative habitat that one can feel sea creatures and plants. Lots of fish, one fish sign had a sign that it was a lazy fish and made me laugh. i thought this was a cute little aquarium!

There is very few spots to park so unless you can walk or bike during peak season, the best time to enjoy this spot is during the off season. This beach connects to Charlestown Town Beach and the Breachway so for those looking for a nice LONG walk, you could do all three! Its a small beach but absolutely beautiful. Here is some info I found online: From Seeswim.com This is a very small access point, with limited parking. The public beach is between two private ones, and not very large. We are told it's a popular spot for surfing. Parking is in a small turnaround, but there are only a few spaces. The beach is beautiful, and it is a shame that most of it is private. From GreenHillRocks.com Located in South Kingstown, RI, Green Hill is a quiet, family beach community surrounded by Atlantic blue waters, coastal ponds and conservation land. The area is a mix of pond and hillside residences that are encircled by a lush, fragrant green landscape. Homes and cottages enjoy ocean breezes & abundant views of the Atlantic ocean & salt ponds. Surfing, especially in the stormy winter season, is quite popular. Enjoyment of Green Hill shores is moderated by the fact that there are few areas to park. Permitted parking areas and lots are available only to specific residental zones. Mostly, people walk or bike to the beach where they encounter friends old and new. Ocean tides & Nor'easters constantly reshape the shoreline. Green Hill is arguably one of the most beloved & ever changing coastlines in all of South County, RI.
