Very satisfied with the lead pipe replacement job Ben's Plumbing did for my home. I went with Ben's because of the plumbers I met with to bid on the job, Ben was the most thorough with the initial estimate, not pushy, and the most considerate. He took his shoes off before entering my home and it's the little things like that which tip the scale in his favor. His crew were friendly, professional and kept me apprised of updates throughout the process. Ben was also present on the job site during the major work. I'd use Ben's Plumbing again.

I hired Ben to replace a lead pipe. The project started late and when it began, his team flooded my basement because they forgot to cap the new pipe. I tried calling but he was on vacation that day and for the weekend and his office didn't respond until Monday. He said he would pay for the damage and then ghosted me, didn't return my calls.

Ben and his company are absolutely phenomenal. He and his assistant Marco installed a new high-pressure gas line running through the basement of my house to a new tankless water heater and pool water heater. They were professional, courteous, efficient and paid a lot of attention to details and quality. The project was quite complicated. The new gas line had to go throughout the basement, partially through finished ceilings, partially through an open utility room and partially through the garage. Ben had to design a combination of flexible CSST and solid steel gas lines to ensure that the line is sturdy and unbreakable in the garage where it could be hit by car doors, bicycles, just anything and flexible but sturdy running through the parts of the finished basement. After that, Ben and his crew had to replace the water heater with a tankless water heater, install gas pressure regulators, and get a permit. Let me just say that permit approval took seconds, as there were zero issues with the quality of Ben's work. The tankless water heater installation wasn't easy and Ben worked with the heater manufacturer directly to solve its incompatibility with a pump produced by another company (again, solved fast and efficiently). After removing my old water heater, instead of just capping the old lines, Ben rerouted the water pipes and installed two new water line valves at the easy-to-reach height, so it would be easier for me to deal with the house winterization later on. Did I mention that he did this all without raising the original price estimate? Yes, he did. A few minor but important details. Ben and Marco always put shoe coverings on when they walked inside the house. They covered the flooring and stairs with protective tape and protective fabric. They left the house cleaner than when they started the project. Ben and his company are simply phenomenal. Highly, highly recommended. (Attached are a few photos that show the complexity of this installation project.)

I am Jenny Du. I posted a plumbing service request and received a call from your company. You…read morearranged for your plumber Earl to contact me directly. He claimed to have spoken with my tenant, understood the issue, and could come later that day for an inspection. He stated clearly that there would be a flat rate inspection fee of $59.95, as advertised and above message sent to me via your Yelp page. I provided my credit card number based on that agreement and waited for updates. By 8 PM, I had received no call. Upon contacting my tenant, I learned that the plumber had visited, did minimal work, stayed for less than an hour, and left. I immediately checked my credit card and found an unauthorized charge of $495. The next morning, I called your number but received no answer. When I reached the plumber directly, he admitted he was going to call me but chose not to because it was "too late." He claimed the $495 was a "inspection fee" and that an additional $450 would be needed to complete the repair. We had a brief dispute, and I informed him I would pursue this matter through formal channels. I have since disputed the unauthorized charge with my credit card company and am awaiting resolution. Meanwhile, your continued efforts to contact the property owner through third parties to seek payment are inappropriate and unacceptable. I hereby put you on formal notice of the following: Your advertising and initial representations were deceptive and constitute fraud; You intentionally avoided contacting the cardholder at the time of visit under the pretense of it being too late; You charged a significantly higher amount without authorization; No actual repair was performed since the water was still leaking. and I have written statements, messages, and screenshots from multiple tenants to confirm this. You are instructed to cease all informal contact attempts with me or any associated parties. This matter will be resolved solely through formal and lawful means. If you believe you have a legitimate claim, you are entitled to pursue it through legal channels--as am I. All further communication from my side will be documented and may be used in future legal or consumer protection actions.
