Ben's Cookies were a rather fluffy cookie company we came across a few times while we were in London. Walking up (they have both an outdoor counter and an indoor counter at this location) the service was helpful and prompt and we ordered their cookie and coffee deal ($5.25 euro) and a water. We chose the Praline cookie as our option and although we found it fresh and not too oily, it was a bit too sweet for us and on the basic side - nothing to write home about. All in all, I'd give them a 3.8 and try one if you're visiting the area, but I wouldn't say it's worth the hype. read more

Ben's Cookies seem to be a chain, so if you miss this location, there are others as well, although I'm not sure of where. Solid cookies. Large, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Huge chunks of chocolate chips. A nice snack for all those who need a break or something sweet. They have a combo that comes with a coffee. For those who want a cooler treat, they also have ice cream. The store is small, so there's no real seating (there are like, 3 chairs at a bar), but this location is in a nice area to walk around and sight see. Price is not bad either. Oh Ben's cookies. How I wish you were in the states. We ate at Ben's cookies 2x while in England. Once while in London and I ordered the classic chocolate chip cookie and the second time while in Bath I ordered the coconut cookie with vanilla ice cream. Both times the cookies were fantastic. Dear Ben, I'm sure you're a great guy, but I don't exactly get the hype about your cookies. Being a big Roald Dahl fan, I do dig the Quentin Blake logo however! They are all about the chunks at Ben's. The dark chocolate chunk that I ate was okay (soft, with lots of chocolate) but a bit too cakey for my preferences. Interestingly, the cookies are sold by weight, not unit. Mine was around £1.47 I recall, fair enough price. I did like how the shop was one of the sole few places to stay open after 6 PM on a Sunday. Ice cream, coffee, and other drinks are also available. According to the Ben's Cookies website, the dark chocolate chunk is a "sophisticated cookie for sophisticated people. Perfect for late night conversations, bearded academics and lovers of red wine. For French cinema, Italian opera and Danish television dramas." Why yes, I am sophisticated! read more

Cozy, little cookie shop located in a nice area on the right side of Regent Street. I can really recommend the cookie and ice cream combo. Especially the cookie and cream ice cream is wonderful. You can get a bit confused when ordering cookie with cookie and cream ice cream, though. Don't lose your tongue! The milk chocolate cookie I tried was warm, fresh and gooey, right from the oven. Delicious! The employees are really friendly and welcoming. When I was unsure and ended up with ordering vanilla ice cream, she told me that the cookie and cream flavour was better. Thank you! And her smile when I brought my whole family back to buy more was priceless. They really appreciate their customers. Be careful with your spoon though, mine broke. read more

I'm not fond of cookies, but I have to admit Ben's are amazing. Back in Paris everyone told me about this institution as the place where I could taste the BEST cookies ever. Indeed. Ben's Cookies are baked right in front of your eyes, then displayed in such a way you can't possibly resist. They are massive, filled with delicious yummy stuff. Somehow I'm glad I don't live in London because I would certainly get addicted to these cookies. It's simple, each time I walked past one of their shops I couldn't help buying one ! Do you like a giant moist, gooey, smooshey cookie with huge chocolate chips or peanut butter or any other cookie garnish or type imaginable? Then you need to go to Ben's. They are absolutely delicious... and they really taste like their ingredients, not just overly sugared. Wonderful cookies! Absolutely huge! They are definitely more on the cake/soft/pillowy side and very thick! I got the classic milk chocolate and also the chocolate cookie with white chocolate. Both of them were divine though my favorite was the milk chocolate. The "chips" are more like discs of chocolate really, which is amazing but the only thing I don't like about it is that it is not evenly distributed throughout the cookie as say chocolate chips would be. Small caveat. Also got a scoop of the mint chip ice cream as well as cookies and cream. Both were nice/fairly average. The mint one wasn't that great though and kind of tasted freezer burned. Amazing cookies!! My favorite is the double chocolate, which I find difficult to deviate from. I missed these cookies dearly whilst living abroad. The chocolate chips are always melted and you can just tear the cookie apart. Just how I like them! They offer lots of amazing flavors and also ice cream. These cookies are stupendous. I will say they are slightly different at each location. We had them in Covent Garden and also in Soho and they were just a tad different. The Covent's were the best. We tried all of the flavors except coconut and the classic choco were the best. Very buttery, hefty and flavorful! Delightful! Yes, there's a little bit of the "mall cookie shop" feel, but the goods are far more refined. Or at least less greasy. Great place to pop in and grab a little restorative while wandering around. Service is quick, so don't worry about a longish line --- but do watch your elbows in the narrow counter area. They make a pretty mean cookie! This cookie really reminded me of home and the chocolate chip cookies you get back in the states. I got the praline milk chocolate (yes, think nutella deconstructed with hazelnuts) and a white chocolate cranberry. Both were great - but very sweet so get something to drink. I ordered 4 cookies (for two people) and the guy behind the counter mentioned that if I bought 1 more, I would get 2 for free!!! So, I got suckered again!!
