The wife is a culinary chef from Cali and the hubby is from Texas. With their sweet, passionate personalities and fantastic food it doesn't get any better than this place. While another party ordered in front of me, I sized up the menu, finally deciding that a carne asada torta was just what I needed. For $7 + tax, the serving size exceeded expectations. Inside the fresh, soft bread was a generous amount of carne, along with avocado. I think there may have been cheese as well, but my memory is foggy on that item. I liberally doused it in salsa and did my best to eat with one hand as I stood on the sidewalk holding the box. Long story short, if you come across this beacon of warmth late at night, take refuge in a quesadilla or a cheeseburger. Get a torta, they're awesome. I would love to try a burrito as well, or some tacos al pastor. This food truck demands repeat visits.

Pack your Maxx caught my eye one day while shopping at the drug store close by. BINGo! Great selection of protein/lower fat conscious meals, prepared for you to either take home or heat and eat there. About the same price and in some cases much lower that restaurant food. Plus, you know instantly what you macros are (Protein/carbs/fat) when you purchase. They have protein smoothies too, haven't tried those yet, but I'm loving the meals. They now have four locations - I'm so privileged to have one in my hood! Looking forward to a long relationship!

Food is not cooked in the container; it is prepared elsewhere and delivered. I was excited to try a fresh taco and burrito place on campus, but this is NOT college dining! They have a limited menu - build-your-own taco or burrito, and breakfast burritos during certain morning hours. Portion size is good, but it is EXPENSIVE if you are on a college budget. These aren't your $1 tacos!! If the weather is nice and you are planning on spending the day strolling the UNM campus, this could be an excellent choice for lunch - grab a burrito and go eat by the duck pond. But it's on-campus dining at restaurant prices. Also: there was no convenient place to dispose of what was clearly recyclable or biodegradable dishes; I had to lug it all over campus until I could find something to do with it!

In four visits, here's my experience: System for ordering and paying is bad. Salad is often rotting. Sandwich, while tasty, is tiny and mostly bread, smoothies cost more than $6 and arent that good. This all raises a big question: why does UNM need these corporate food contracts with non-compete clauses that prevent actual foodtrucks from entering campus? They do everyone a disservice. Fresh Box is proof of failure for this corporate food-service model. That said, I'll give this place another try in 2017 (if it lasts that long).

During the hot, humid dog days of summer, deep friendships were forged over the simplest of pleasures: beers and brats around the backyard grill. Those of us with German ancestry invoked an almost religious fervor to this simple tradition, sourcing our dogs from local butchers, slow boiling the bad boys in good pilsner, then lightly, carefully letting 'em warm over the coals -- often for an hour plus -- before smothering everything in sauerkraut and spicy mustard. That first bite, that burst casing that sent juices dripping down jowls, off chins, onto dirty t-shirts, washed down with a cold, unremarkable brew, that was summer in a bun. It's high time this marvelous rite becomes standard issue in Albuquerque, and Sal's brings the goods, elevating everything more than a notch. I paired my L'Italiano with a Marble Heller Bock and was transported, briefly, to You Betcha Land. We actually tried everything on the menu -- we had a crew to feed -- smiles all around. My personal fave is the Il Vero Alfredo, the sauce isn't overdone or heavily salted, but on point, thoughtfully executed, a reflection of the character of everything the Brigante Brigade dishes up. This family business continues to execute delicious foods that fill a void in our metro, and again I'm impressed. You betcha.

Just like how they have it in Hawaii and California. The food already prepared and able to build and choose what to create for a plate lunch. Another disappointment. I was looking forward to the food. I expected more than just pancit, adobo and lumpia. I could make these at home and why would I pay so much for something I could make?! Literally paid $20.45 for 6 pieces of lumpia and 2 I've cookies!!!! I was floored! And the waitress I was not impressed, she was literally over heating and informs me that I would have to wait since her cook walked out?! If she informs me before she made me pay, I would have walked away. But since I paid I waited 15 mins for LUMPIA!!! I did speak with one of the owners and talked about having more food options. She informed me that they will in the future will be having Lechon! And possibly will do a lunch style buffet style. I look forward to those additions. The Ube cookies were to die for! It was so delicious and soft! The lumpia however, didn't have any flavor that Filipino food usually has. I'm kinda weary of trying their food now if the lumpia wasn't flavorful. There are a ton of other places I'm sure people visit during lunch time. Today was a good day. Got inside and explored the different types of eateries that they offered there. We had never visited any of these so it was hard to choose. Today, we tried On the Flip/Flip Flops. The food was good, some more than the other dishes that we tried. You order your food and then they give you a number and ask where you are sitting. We found a spot inside of the Santa Fe Brewery area and sat in there. Just in case you're wondering, they cook in soybean oil. This is always something I ask before I dine at eateries I've never eaten at before. We ordered the following: Carne Asada taco, Carne Adovado taco, Buffalo Chicken Mac and the Aloha Yard Bird. The tacos were tasty, full of flavor. They are street sized tacos so don't expect it to be a big taco. Two will feed one person for sure! The Aloha Yard Bird was actually moist, since most chicken sandwiches can be dry. This was not dry at all. It was a good sized burger/sandwich. Served on a bun with swiss cheese, grilled pineapple, teriyaki chili aioli. The burger was good, not full of flavor as I would have hoped it to be. I added the fries, but the serving of fries wasn't that much on the plate. The Buffalo Chicken Mac... looks can be deceiving! But this was in a good way! What can I say, it was a pretty good tasting buffalo chicken on top of mac and cheese. It was already appetizing on the menu board. It's hard to find a place that offers that true buffalo sauce flavor. Since, I'm so used to my favorite buffalo wing place in California. Sorry, don't judge me. Haha! But that dish, I'd get again! My experience overall at this eatery was good. Maybe I'll get the fish tacos the next time I visit. Customer service was good too. The cashier was very helpful in our decision making of the food that I chose.
