Called my regular barber yesterday and no answer 2nd day after reopening. I happened to be near Benny's, popped in and asked if I needed to make appointment. They said come on in Albert is available right now. He gave me probably the very best haircut I've ever had. I don't have much left to cut like I once did and I believe it's more of a challenge for a barber to give a good haircut when there's less to work with. When it looks great the very next day you know the man is a pro!!! I was also impressed with the precautionary measures in place which is important to me during this pandemic. I went to Benny's as usual. I am a senior and usually pay $15.00 plus a 25% tip. I went for a haircut and my usual barber was not there. Only the owner. He told me to sit in his chair. After he finished my haircut I gave him a $20.00 bill. He said that he is the owner and charges more than his employees. He kept the $20.00. What a crook. He must lose a lot of business. He has now lost a customer with he greed. He is a lousy barber not even using a scissor, only with his electric clippers. My haircut was lousy. read more

Benny talks On the phone while he is giving u a hair cut . He writes his schedule as he is cutting your hair . Mr ,Benny invest in an answering service . Why should anyone have to tolerate getting a hair cut with you on the phone . Benny's chair is first by the window . Basically taking away from the other 2 guys . The other two guys are probably much better then he is but just don't have a chance to show themselves . That's because ,Benny put himself in the front seat . His haircuts are ok . Just standard . Not like he is doing anything special no one else is doing . Benny you should get off the high seat . Put yourself in the back of the store let's see how you do ..... My advice is Spend your money wisely. This guy is a little funny . In response to Benny's third response : I'll erase the review if you update your service . I don't care enough to waste my time to go talk or fight with you . I'm not convincing you . I'm just letting the community know what I experienced.And u are also admitting to it . SO I'm not making it up .If I wasn't your previous client how do I know ? And how would I also know about personal details like your DR trip ? And I myself won't be using your service anyways anymore . The reason I remembered writing a review about your business was because I had just received a haircut somewhere else . And was so satisfied with the service . And attention on the client . That I wanted to let others know that there is better service out there. Because u responded 3 times . Tells me that you actually care. And that's why I suggested to you to correct the problem and the review comes off . If some people don't care about the phone . Then they won't care about the review either . So don't worry about the review . But most people do regardless if they tell you . My intent is not to hurt your business but to protect consumers . As u would want to know , So do others . That's y Yelp works . Everyone in our age group or younger uses it for the same reason . To get real consumer feed back . I think we spoke enough. The only reason I ever went to to Benny's Barber is because my barber Igor who worked in Williston Park left that guy and went to Benny's. I live in New Hyde Park, did I want to go to Benny's in Great neck and travel???? Absolutely not but besides giving the best haircut money can buy Igor who's been cutting my hair for ten years is one of the most caring and nicest guys you want to meet. He takes his time cutting your hair and before you walk out of that chair he makes sure you're 100 % happy. So I could not possibly keep going to the shop in Williston Park plus the fact I would of left the Williston Park barber years ago. I only stayed there because Igor was there. I go where Igor goes unless he moves to California then I will have to find another barber. read more
