This is my barbershop. I'm disabled and usually don't have to wait (especially if my barber, Eddie is on duty). Another convenience is that the shop is in a small strip mall on Hillside Avenue with handicap parking, so there is no problem parking for me. They give great haircuts no matter what style you prefer. I've seen babies to adults like me (I'm now 72). I've been a customer since moving to the New Hyde Park area and North New Park area in 1975. I was recommended by a neighbor and have no reason to change. BTW they also have a shop on Hillside in Williston Park. read more

They now charge $30 for a haircut. There are definitely cheaper shops in the area. My barber did not use water or scissors to cut my hair (a first for me). The barber only used a trimmer. Other barbers in my past used shaving cream and razor on the back of my neck, which this one did not. He also seemed mentally distracted talking with another barber. Manny's is a solid place to get a haircut for Queens and Long Island fellas. I tried it out after my old place wasn't up to snuff anymore and wasn't disappointed. The place is chock full of Russian guys who all speak in Russian while they cut your hair and all seem to do a good job. My guy is Sam and he comes recommended. I most recently walked in and got JAY as my barber. Did exactly what I asked for and was pleasant to deal with. He was able to deliver a very clean, tight fade with a seamless transition. After my experience earlier today, I can confidently recommend Manny's for a haircut. Upon entering the shop, I was immediately greeted by one of the six barbers that were working (I believe there are 10 employed in total). I opted to wait and have my hair cut by Avi (who was recommended in other reviews). In terms of service, I found the barbers to be extremely friendly and talkative, and I felt welcome and comfortable in the shop. Avi was attentive to my concerns with the haircut, and spent adequate time ensuring that they were addressed. The final product was a very good haircut that didn't require an excessive period of time. Looking around at other barbers in the shop, including Manny and Eddie, I was also impressed by the quality of their work. An adult cut is $16, which is a little high on the spectrum, but I considered the price to be worth it. I will be a return customer. read more
