Prior to this I was at…read moreRoman's Barber Shop, it was the era of the Guido and finding a barbershop that could be your 'spot' was the cool thing to do, to go to a hip and modern spot that was sleek and the barbers knew what they were doing--Roman's was it at the time, and even the Gotti's for their cuts there.. but then Ed and Rob opened up a block away from me. Within a few weeks I met both Ed and Rob, and they were the two most down to Earth and most humble guys I had ever met. They were so laid back that they instantly made you feel comfortable, the atmosphere was just as modern and stylish as any other place that attracted hordes of teenagers just aching to find their 'cliquey' barbershop to call their own. Instead of finding a spot to just be able to brag about, I discovered the only Barber Shop I would ever trust with my hair ever again. They redefined the game at Ed and Rob's, they worked hard and diligently for years, slowly and humbly growing their business. They went out of their way to become friends with everyone in town and offer them a place that was unrivaled. It's so hard to properly give these two credit for an experience that truly captures your ability to feel like you belong to something amazing, especially when most people don't think much about places becoming a part of your history, but that's what this place was for me and still is. Even after I joined the military and lived in various states, I missed the cuts I'd get at Ed and Robs. They remembered every little detail about your cuts, they remembered every conversation and every life that they made better. Ever barber who walked through those doors to learn or to work, became great, and their retention rate would probably be at 100% if anyone could measure it over the years. I love this place.

It's not cheap, but not too expensive: but hey, you get what you pay for. They take care of you. To be honest, every time I go to Jonny's I walk in looking homeless, and I come out lookin like a stud muffin beast. This place tbh should get wayyyyyyy more clout. Good sh*t Jonny, good shi*. Also they sell ICE. Never bought one bc I'm broke all the time but hey, while Jon is cutting that beautiful hair, feel free to look at the chains out of the corner of your eye. Also, for all your liberal kids, this guy is very sanitary too. Employees all wear masks but the customer chooses. F*ck Cuomo. Also, it's not your everyday casual barbershop lol. This place maddd bougee. Plus apparently a few celebs get their hair cut there. That probably means something . Keep doing what y'all r doing. Nice job Jon. There was a line but Johnny, who I believe is the owner was quick and friendly to his other patrons. I have a cranky 2 year old and a rambunctious 5 year old but he was able to give them quick, effective short cuts. Without even going into detail, he just asked them if I wanted it short and he went straight to work. $25/each for a kids cut for less than 30 minutes is not bad. Previous barbers are afraid to go very short which makes me need to go in every 2 weeks. He went exactly the amount I was looking for and we won't be back for another 3 weeks. FYI you don't come here for the ambiance. You come for a straight shooter, great service and skills. The price is not bad either. I'll be coming back with my boys.

This was my third time at this new shop and I know that this place will become my regular shop There is a wide variety of services along with a basic haircut, shaves, facial massages, etc. I try to come mid-day and during the week as they tend to get very busy here. They are very through here and what I think should take 15 minutes always takes 30-45 minutes for the compete "hair-cut" experience. It's obvious from the many 5 star reviews they people are happy here. Not sure about the 1-3 star ratings but I feel (along with many others) that 5 stars are warranted. I'm a white dork with complicated hair and the gentleman who cut my hair knew my hair better than any other barber I've seen in my life in mere seconds. Language barrier was pretty massive. I would say it's a very hip/ modern establishment with its own Pop-Cultural flair. With an interior that at times looks like Tony Montana's parlor room and at times is a modern day assault of lights and TV's. Since my Spanish is terrible and there were no sports my barber had on a runway show with gorgeous Latin women. Interesting choice but I was definitely soaking it all in as a first timer.
