Patronized this location twice. First time, we got takeout and could barely fit the pizza box in the car. I wasn't aware, when I ordered it, that the standard large pizza is many inches smaller in diameter than what Benny Stivale's offers (and this is the only size they offer). The pizza itself was very good. It lasted my wife and I more than a few days. The second time we dined in, but only had beers. It was nice weather, and the outdoor seating was pleasant. My only complaint would be the lack of options in terms of diameter. It's either you order by the slice, or you get something that's 28" wide. These giant slices don't cost much more than regular sized slices, and a whole 28 inch pizza is super reasonably priced. One slice fills me up, but I always want more. Right ratio of cheese and sauce to crust, and a tiny crunch when you bite through the crust. I go here every time I pass through Waynesboro, especially after a nice long hike in Shenandoah. Benny Stivale's in Waynesboro has been our go to place. Today we entered and waited for a few minutes at the counter and saw or heard no one. We walked around and saw no one in side. Finally as we were getting ready to leave a young man came around and took our order. When my slice of pizza was ready , as I was picking it up the young man said he was sorry the crust was so then. It was like no crust at all. Just cheese melted on a plate. I'm not sure why he even served it to me. My wife's was the same. Came here after trying to get seated at 2 other local restaurants. I was with a group of 8. Benny's was very welcoming and we were so glad to find it. Biggest pizza I've ever seen and it was so good. The crust was just the way I like it, soft but crisp, not doughy. I'm really confused about why it always takes 15-20 min to get slices of pizza. I can see the pizza, it's already made, and it just needs to be heated up. I place the order, the place is mostly or completely empty, and then I'm sitting twiddling my thumbs. Also, if I try to order online, no matter what time of day, the wait time is 30-40 min. Compare to any pizza by the slice place I've ever been to, and the wait is usually 5 min unless you're asking them to make a new pizza. read more

Been to this location multiple times since they opened. It's definitely a family favorite in Waynesboro. $4-5 for a huge slice (big enough slices for my two kids to share one). Good rotating selection of local beers on tap along with good selection of canned/bottled sodas and beers, gatorade, etc. Added an outdoor patio area along with some green space for kids to run around. We like the price and the chill atmosphere. The pizza is "just okay." When it's fresh it's pretty good. Other times it tastes dry and warmed over. This place has become our go to when we are looking for fun, casual, local but aren't expecting "amazing" food. I wish they would make it easier to get plain water - maybe self-service instead of having to ask at the front for the smallish cups. Also, it would be great if they had a salad option (not in the scope of the typical Benny's, I know). I took the family in to try it this afternoon. While the pizza slices were very large and my youngest could not finish her slice, we were underwhelmed. I understand that you all have to make the pizza beforehand and warm it up. A lot of places do it that way. However, please put enough sauce on the pizza so it does not dry out while it is sitting there. All the slices we got were soooo dry. You also need a better way for your customers to get plain water. We loved the 28" pizza! Although our eyes were bigger than our stomachs it was still delicious.
