I recently picked up my RV from Bennett's service department after having some relatively minor repairs on it. Although the repairs seemed to have been completed satisfactorily, a new issue appeared while I was picking it up. 3 very helpful technicians tried to fix the issue before I left, but were stopped by a true model of business acumen and customer service prowess by the name of Jim Rist. Now I had to get Jim's name from Bennett's web page because he childishly refused to tell me his name after I asked. He said, "Figure it OUT!" Hey Jim, I figured it out! Anyway, I had to return to the business because for some reason they kept my power cord adapter. So, while there I thought that I would pick the brain of their most experienced tech a little to see if he could help me solve the issue without having to bring it back in. But, alas, my hero appeared again and promptly lost his mind because I was back in there "wasting his tech's time" and "trying to get them to work on my RV for free." Which, I NEVER asked them to do. I was simply asking for some guidance. After verbally berating me for not wanting to pay them to fix the issue, he said, "Byebye" and opened the door. So I asked his name and was denied that info, cause, you know, that's how you should conduct business. I then proceeded to the front to ask for a manager and guess who follows me there. Yep, the Master of Customer Service himself, Jim Rist. He volunteers himself as a manager, so I asked for the owner and guess what, HE IS ONE OF THE OWNERS! Well, apparently he just married into it. I can't imagine that he could build a successful business. Destroy one, sure. Finally, I was able to speak to his wife, who is a wonderful person. She offered to rectify the situation but I politely refused. I simply don't trust the Angry Jim with my property.
Everyone I know that had knowledge of my original RV issues advised me against Bennett's, but I really try to support local small business. And, in their defense, other than the Master of Decorum, Jim Rist, everyone was very personable. Too bad, I'm gonna be like everyone else now and tell you, "DON'T GO TO BENNETT'S FOR ANYTHING!" read more
