The place is very spacious and can accommodate a lot of people. All the people are really friendly from the hosts/ hostess to your server at the table. They serve some mixed drinks, wine, and beer which is nice. I was curious to see what other foods they had besides crab legs since most of the photos were of crab legs. To my surprise they had a lot of options. They had a salad bar with Cajun shrimp, shrimp salad, and imitation crab. They had ribs, fried chicken, steaks, prime rib which was ok, and chicken tenders. They had really good fried scallops, fried clam strips, and fried oysters. The oyster Rockefeller and steamed oysters were also good. The crab legs were ok they weren't great but they weren't bad. If recommend staying away from the steamed clams, mussels, and crayfish unless you like it not seasoned at all. Totally bland. The crab cakes however were really good. The clam chowder tasted like potato soup. All in all though totally worth the money and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. I highly recommend them. Also they have coupons in the coupon book so make sure to check it. We got $7 off per adult with the coupon before 3pm. I gave them a 4 because of the steamed items lacking flavor and the crabs were ok. Other than that it would've been a 5. They also had a lot of options for dessert. A cool thing they do is they don't cook too much at once so the food is always fresh.

So many seafood buffets at North Myrtle Beach, how to decide? And they all have almost the same offerings. So we made the selection based on reviews and comments. I prefer to support places that support the military. I called several places but just about impossible to get to a human. We decided on Bennett's. I was a little disappointed they offer no military discount but no idea what their competitors do. We were there for early dinner, just after the opening time, so we're seated right away. I tasted a few items, steamed oysters and mussels, but we were there for the Snow Crab and waiting for them to restock. Our (great) server Felisha saw the stocked and retrieved our first crab leg plates for us. The crab legs were very good but not seasoned very much, so we asked for, and received Old Bay Seasoning to add. Yummm! Very often Felisha stopped by to check on us and empty the discard pile. I switched and tried Fried items: Bang Bang Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Clam Strips, Squash and Oysters. Shrimp was good but no heat(?). Clam strips were just crunchy breading. Oysters were small so I picked through to get only the soft ones with some body. Surprisingly my favorite, other than crab legs, were the Fried Squash. Crispy outside, soft inside and light breading - they were great! And of course we had to sample desserts. I had a bit of pecan pie and strawberry shortcake, which were both very tasty.

I can only speak for the drink! Strawberry surprise was refreshingly cold, sweet, and icy yet creamy I got to keep a souvenir glass. No price on the drink menu, and a friend paid for it so can't tell you the value....but I enjoyed it (They also have other similar drinks and beer on the menu) When you walk in they ask the number of people in your party, wait for everyone (our guy was parking) and then they point out where things are in the buffet as they walk you to your table/booth A sign at the front says parties of 8 auto have gratuity tacked on Restaurant is an all you can eat seafood buffet of a variety of things that I don't eat, but my friends do...so I just went along for the company and watched them eat endless crab legs Waiter was great, regularly cleaning off the table, accommodating bringing condiments as requested, and didn't question me being at a buffet and not eating Lol I DID notice the manager stand off on the side and stare at me for awhile. I'm not mad at him, I suppose people do come in and try to "eat off others plates without paying"; but no worries here...seafood is not my thing, and buffets are not my regular go-to average sized restaurant. The booth seats are low and old, so comfortable once you poop down in them and don't have to get up often lol (ideal for me, maybe not so much if you do the buffet...I'd suggest a table setting) Oh. They also had a guy taking pictures...yes w a real camera. He asked for various pics of the table and Kate came back-gave us one free and hoped to sell "one for $20 or all 5? for $45". Each gad different framing, some w the calabash/crab theme, but we didn't bite My friends seemed to enjoy the grabs, so they recommended folk pop in and give it try

Receipt - $41.99/person without beverages and tax.

Delightful. I would not waste my time on the adult beverages. Very weak. Food was great though. Plan on it costing a pretty penny

Smaller buffet but everything was very tasty. It's still kind of pricey over $200 for four people to eat. 3 adults and a 7 year old child.

I had fried jumbo shrimp which were not listed on the menu as a platter, but our waitress (Grace) was glad make the exception. My husband ordered the fresh catch salmon with mango salsa. Sides were: green beans with roasted tomatoes, sautéed spinach and risotto cakes. Everything was very good and Grace kept our tea glasses full. When I'm in the area I'll definitely stop in some of their delicious food!

We came to this restaurant for dinner after our fishing trip. This place was recommended by the man…read morewho took us on our fishing tour. It seemed very "busy" for an early Monday evening around 5:20/6pm. It had quite a few customers but also many empty tables inside. We wanted to sit inside but were told they were holding tables for reservations. So our only option was to sit outside or to wait over 20 minutes. We were very hungry so we sat outside. Our waitress came out and greeted us and was very nice and answered all our questions. We had a table on the far right of the patio. Outside was hot and there were little small gnats flying around. We ordered the mussels in a wine sauce for appetizers. And OMG when the food came out the gnats swarmed in on us and it was worse! We could not enjoy the food because we were in a constant battle. We complained to the waitress. And we wound up moving to another table closer to the door (still outside in the opposite side because we still were told there were no tables inside). It was a better but gnats were still there. The food, however, was really good and would have been even better without fighting bugs. The mussels were cooked perfectly and the sauce it was in was delicious! We were almost licking the plate, but so I wouldn't look like a heathen, used the bread to wipe up the plate instead. The roasted red pepper crab bisque was also very good and I like that it had bigger lumps of crab in it. For my main course I had the fresh catch of the day that came with a lemon sauce, mango salsa and risotto. I am not a fan of asparagus so I was allowed to substitute for spinach. The dish was so delicious! I was happy with the taste and quality of the food. A manager just so happened to round on us while we were eating and we told her our complaints about the gnats. She was very understanding and offered us a free dessert or to take some money off the bill. When the waitress came back she asked us what dessert we wanted complimentary. We wondered why the manager gave us both options, but we didn't actually get to choose what we really wanted which was the money off the bill. We were really full and didn't have room for the dessert. Rather than protesting, we just chose a dessert to go, but unfortunately forgot to eat it because we had to pack for our early morning flight. My review would have been 5 stars for the service and food if it wasn't for those pesky bugs outside. I don't know why there was so many out there.

Took our beverage orders, returned quickly with those and water. She told us the specials which we passed on. Fred ordered fried oysters platter, I ordered an à la carte crab cake and oysters Rockefeller. Our food arrived quickly. Fried oysters were plentiful and crispy. House made chips were crunchy and delicious. My crab cake was wonderful - as close to a Maryland crab cake as I've had in a long time. Lump crab, very little bread crumbs, pan fried and served with a dollop of hollandaise. It needed some Old Bay seasoning. The Rockefeller Oysters were delicious. Plump oysters topped with spinach and Hollandaise. They need a splash of Pernod and would be 5 star. We split a piece of house made peanut butter pie for dessert. It wasn't good. Way too sweet and very soupy. Tasted like a cool whip recipe. Our tab was reasonable and we left our server a generous tip. We recommended the restaurant to numerous people we knew back at the hotel. It has almost always been a good experience. However, I was disappointed this time because we have ALWAYS been told (in or off season) that they do not take reservations. We even checked their website again before coming this time and it says on their website that they DO NOT take reservations. Upon arriving to the restaurant we were told that we would have to wait longer because we did not have a reservation. We were told that even though they say they do not take reservations, they do now because it is the off season. I guess we were supposed to read their minds and know that their policy changes at an unadvertised date. Poor customer service if you ask me. The food was good as usual (we love their fish spread). Our waitress was kind and helpful, even making sure that we got the best price possible on our food by choosing an item off the happy hour menu for us. The dining area was adequately clean. The bathrooms are adequate as well. I will say that the most trouble we have had is with the host staff. This is not our first time having issues with them being unfriendly or not paying attention to customers. For these reasons I feel like a 4 star review would be too generous.
