Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus…read more While I'm not the best at rhyming, I am at timing, and hitting up Tiger Mountaim Vineyards on a beautiful Autumn day was indeed perfect timing. After only one visit, I can say this may be my favorite vineyard in the Georgia mountains. Unpretentious, yet still classy, it delivers exactly what you want in a winery, great wine, great views, great service. As a bonus it also has a great menu of casual food at very reasonable prices. They have flights available, but what I really appreciated is they let you sample before you buy. We chose the Viogneir, a grape I think really does well in Georgia, and it was delish. We also had their hummus and olive plate and a flatbread pizza, both were presented well and perfect. They have great outdoor seating very close to the vineyard, with a fantastic mountain backdrop. Service was fast and friendly and staff was very attentive to us our entire visit. Looking forward to returning soon!

After the tasting we bought a bottle to enjoy on the lovely patio enjoying the view. This would be a great spot for a wedding or other event. We wound up buying two bottles and some delicious bourbon balsamic vinegar she let us sample. I wish they had offered more snacks... they just had prepackaged limited selection. I would love to have had a picnic on their patio. Will return soon... a lovely way to relax in the mountains.

I visited on the 4th of July, lovely setting to enjoy the birth of the USA. No food served, they recommend you bring a lite snack. I packed a small charcuterie treat to enjoy with my vino. Highly recommend this winery, def a little slice of heaven.

Dahlonega has lots of interesting twists and turns and back alley shops and some shops blended in so well with other places, that a random door opens up to more unique experiences. So, that's how we found this place. We were waiting to get our names in for Bourbon Street Grille, and this random door behind us boasted wine tasting. I thought it was just a one room deal behind us. When you see the door and the shop, you'll fully understand. If you like wine, this is worth it and a MUCH better deal than the Wine Festival (which is what we came for). It's not a big place and technically only has about 8 seats at the bar for tasting. Thankfully, it seemed all the festival goers didn't know about this place (bc it's totally a Harry Potter hidden type of deal) so we got 4 seats. The kids roamed around the shop while we tried wine. The flights are $12/$16 based off the wines you want. They have white, red, blended and rose. Oh, check in on Yelp and receive one free taste of any wine (I used mine)!!! I did the Rose, Merlot, Vidal Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and the Petit Manseng. Loved the Merlot (had a spicy after taste) the most! Then the Pinot Grigio. The Petit Manseng is their strongest wine but was my least favorite. However, I tasted the Trillium from someone else's in our group and LOVED IT. We ended up buying a bottle of Mtn Harvest Red plus the Apfelwein (the lady described it so well and made us want to get a bottle). I can honestly say I had such a buzz from the flight that I stopped drinking when we went to go eat. The wine was really good and certainly hit, so be careful! Totally worth checking this place out, if you can find it!!!

We had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent! We sat out on the covered deck and it was a beautiful night. I had the pork chop and my wife had the chicken, both dishes were fantastic. We split a cherry cobbler for dessert and it was quite marginal. They have a nice wine menu here as well. Service was on-point and we are looking forward to a return visit!

Early November was the perfect time to come for the changing of seasons with stunning hikes in every direction and no big tourist crowds to deal with. This hotel has everything you need for a cozy quiet stay. Even as the youngest couple staying we had very lovely conversation and interactions with the other couples who provided us with advice on things to see and also how to procure long lasting relationships. This feels like the perfect place to make your yearly anniversary stay. Very thankful for the warm and inviting welcome we had from the staff to the regulars who have been coming back for years.

The wine is more of a 3/5 but the ambiance of the winery added more points for me. The food was easy to go food like salads, flatbreads and other easy to share foods.
