I was loathe to use a local shop, thinking I'd be taken for a ride, as is the proper due for the unprepared summer traveller. However, I found great reviews of this shop and Steve. Bought a set of great tires at a totally fair price. He scheduled me at 1 and I was out of there by 2, with a few six packs in hand from the next door Harrika's Brew Haus (just go). If I were a local, I'd hire Steve and his shop for all of my car maintenance.

Their customer waiting area is spacious, comfortable, and - in my opinion- the best in eastern North Carolina. Cliff bought and converted a car dealership into a magnificent workplace. Becky, his wife, expertly decorated the front showroom into a waiting room using the many antique automotive memorabilia they have collected over the years. The old sales offices are private waiting rooms- if you wish to wait in your own space. There is one room just for children, too! An old fashioned Popcorn machine makes popcorn everyday. I could go on; but, check out some photos.

They replaced the struts and after the struts were replaced the front end started popping. I took it back 4 times and they told me to just drive it 500 to a 1000 miles to let the parts settle in. Now after the parts have "settled" in the popping is worse. Today they said the only way they would warranty out the struts, that totaled $3200 and included new tires, they would have to change the ball jounts for another $850. You would think that with all this front end work they would have seen this issue before replacing the struts or one of the other 4 times I had it in for the popping noise.

She originally took her car in for a battery replacement, which she was charged what we believe was an excessive amount for. Right after the battery was replaced, her air conditioner stopped working. While we can't say for certain the two were related, the timing was very concerning. She returned to H2H and paid another $500 to have the A/C repaired. Now the car is experiencing electrical issues, and when she brought it back, her concerns were dismissed. Instead of looking at the car or opening the hood, she was told the problems were caused by the heat and "crystals." Regardless of the cause, every customer deserves to be treated with respect, especially someone who is disabled and living on a fixed income. My mother left feeling ignored, dismissed, and taken advantage of. We expected honest service and professionalism, but unfortunately that was not our experience. I would NOT recommend this shop!

If you need ANY work done on your car, Todd is your guy!!! Great customer service, TRUSTWORTHY and…read morethe best, most reasonable prices you'll find! A friend and co-worker recommended Todd to me after I told him my son's brakes on his 2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid were very squeaky (a car that I've found mechanics in the past wont touch due to it being a older Hybrid), so I reached out via phone/text and told him what was wrong, he recommended I get brake pads and told me I could drop the car off and he'd get it done first thing in the morning; soon as he got it up, he had the brake pads done very quickly, sent me photos and videos of how bad my current brake pads were and sent me video of how bad my rear bearings were and walked me through the parts I needed to get and was able to get me in for an appt the very next morning. Once complete, he took the time to explain to me exactly what was wrong and why it was so important to get it fixed asap. I let Todd know from the get go how little i knew about cars and he took the time to show me and explain everything to me in a way that made it easy for me to understand. I got there knowing I probably needed new brake pads, but Todd took the time to inspect everything while he was in there to make sure nothing else was wrong and my son got the car safely back on the road. Once we picked up the car, the squeaking of the brakes was gone and the loud noise which apparently was coming from his bearings/hubs being so rusted/fused together was now gone as well. Cant recommend Todd enough! Very knowledgeable, super thorough, and you can't beat his prices!
