And after multiple years of struggling with various whites by Sherwin Williams, I really learned that Benjamin Moore has some of the purest whites in the game. So when it came time to repair the house, I knew I wanted to use Benjamin Moore. I selected a number of paint colors ahead of my store visit that I was either familiar with or discovered online but Brian was such a help in identifying the swatch cards for me and talking me through how the paints might appear on the wall. For instance, I frequently use Chantilly lace, but he let me know it might come across as quite sterile if used throughout a room so it's better to use on the trim only. Just that level of information was so helpful in assessing and discussing the various colors we were considering! I'm really excited with the paint selections we made and to see how they translate onto the walls. I felt really informed, listened to and advised by Brian. He spoke with me and my husband about the sheens which I thought I knew a bit about, but I ended up feeling quite ignorant after learning more so again he added value. He also discussed with me the various levels of paint quality offered by Benjamin Moore, which was super informative, and I didn't realize there was that number of options available! I think we're going with the scuffex by Ben as it's more durable and less prone to dings and blemishes. All in all, this was a great experience. They do offer more than just Benjamin Moore paint colors as well. I noticed they carried farrow and ball as well as some others.

They kind of saved my butt when I bought the wrong stain color from another store by giving me some stain colorant for free. You won't get the best advice on all their products as they will plainly admit not knowing fully its application. That being said, I did go back and will continue to do so as it still is quicker than any other large store and their prices are comparable with other paint stores. They may even give you a 10% discount if they feel nice, still haven't figured out how that works.

Over the past year, they changed paint suppliers, and on multiple visits no one in the paint department knew how to mix paint. We ended up showing employees how to use the computer ourselves. A few months ago, we even showed the manager. Today, on a Saturday, we stopped in for our usual five gallons of a standard off-the-shelf color, only to be told by that same manager that there was no one working who could mix paint and that we should come back another day. The paint department is one of the largest departments in the store, yet they can't reliably mix paint during a weekend. After years of putting up with it, this was our final visit.

Not a good idea to be rude to a customer off the bat, but then after I looked at the very much lacking display of pendant lighting, I had a conversation in the parking lot, and I was yelled at by another employee that they were closing. They didn't close for another 20 minutes. Safe to say I will never be back, especially because they are not open on weekends. How is the general public supposed to be able to go and see anything in a storefront if they are only open from 7am to 4:30 pm daily? A combination of the dismissive, rude, and unprofessional staff and the business hours make this establishment a no-go for me, and anyone who asks for my advice about lighting stores in the future. Anybody would be better off shopping at Lowe's or Home Depot.
