I've been looking for a promising wax center for a long time, and I haven't found any as good as Shobha, another facility that visit frequently (unfortunately they don't have any NoVa locations). So when I'm finally hearing about this place, I went ahead and give it a try. Before we go into the waxy details, can I just say that the facility is VERY European? I'm talking about arch walkways, brick wallpaper. I mean, they did say that the technology was created in France, thus the name, just didn't expect the facility to also follow the design. A pleasant surprise. Now, finally, onto the sans-pain waxy details. They use this "comfort" wax that promises minimal pain since the wax doesn't adhere to your skin. They start with cleaning your area, then apply the oil to avoid the wax to attach to your skin, then the wax itself. The wax hardens quite quickly, and it's dark blue! When pulled, barely any pain. I was in awe. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY? I mean, very very minimal pain. And it took the majority of my hairs out. And mind you, I have thicker hair that I had to shave (unfortunately) during the past 2 months. Terrible mistake on my part, but quickly solved by the technician. Bought the underarm package right away because holy crap, it's a good deal. I mean, quality waxing for under $15/session is sort of ... unheard of. I'm actually looking forward to my next wax. Can you ever say that about waxing? Seriously, I can't wait to get my next wax. In fact, I'll be brave and will go for areas I haven't touched before. Oh yes, we're going there.

Saw the prices on the website and they were about average, so I called to make an appointment. When I called, there was no greeting or saying "you've reached *insert business name here* how can I help you?" I asked if I could get a same day appointment and was told "no I'm busy today"...ok it was a long shot anyways so I understood. When I tried to book the appointment online, I saw that there were many open time slots for today, so I went ahead with the booking process, picked 3 times that worked for me and waited for the confirmation. I received an email about 5 minutes before my preferred appointment time saying that it was declined. Now if you're booked all day, why have the discrepancy and show available appointments on your website? Again, I knew this would be a long shot so I wasn't too upset. The website clearly states that the salon is open on Sunday's, but when I tried to make an online appointment, all Sunday's were unavailable, as if the salon was closed all of those days. Another discrepancy. So are you, or are you not open on Sunday's like your website claims? I proceeded to call again and try to make an appointment over the phone, no one answered so I left a voicemail. Approximately a minute after I hung up, I received a text from an unknown email (iMessage) that said "I'll be out of town until the 21st". That's it, no greeting or stating who it was at all. This information was not depicted on the website. This also makes me think if there is only one person who is in charge/performing all of the services, which I don't think would be ideal for any business but whatever. I was really excited to try something new as far as hair care/skin care goes, but I will not be booking the appointment at this establishment and will not recommend it anyone else.
