I've been hooked on Benefit cosmetics line for a while. The MUA I had used it for the girls performance shows. Their eye products were and still are my favorite. Now that their line has grew to include their brow bars. I like it because it's super convenient since I shop at Ulta. Im not a big fan of this particular store though. But this past visit I just happen to catch the brow technician finishing up with a client and I love the work she did. So I consulted with her and decided to get my brows waxed. Good thing they take walk ins. Reina had one other client ahead of me, that's how popular she is. She first mapped my brow to mark where the beginning, arch, and end of a brow is suppose to be and used a soft wax with strips to remove the hair and massage soothing gel to calm redness. Real easy and quick. I like the fact she gave me a nice shape with a decent arch which I can maintain it myself till the next appointment. Prices are a little higher than the salon but I don't mind since they use my favorite products on my eyes and it's just more convenient for me to make a one stop shop here. read more

First I have to rave about why I love Yelp. Without Yelp, I never would have found out about this place. I never would have went. So a big thank you to Shirley B. for the very helpful info and hooking a sister up. I made an appointment and was the first of the day. My appointment was scheduled for 10am, however Reina didn't show up until right at 10am and had to set up. She apologized and said they should have scheduled me for 10:20 am and not at 10. She apparently doesn't do the scheduling. I went with a tint and wax. Reina mapped my brow before she started applying the tint. She asked me which tint I wanted and I explained this was my first time. She suggested a color of dark brown but not ebony and so that is what we went with. The tinting process was easy and not long at all. It gave me a nice color and I was happy with it. It could have lasted a little longer I think, since I feel I don't have much tint now and my visit was a week or so ago. I think I could have went darker and had her leave it on longer. But now I know for next time. The job Reina did on my wax was really one of the best I have ever had here in Las Vegas. She didn't over wax and worked with the natural shape of my brows. I have a natural high arch and I have a deep scar in one of my eyebrows and this often throws people off. But Reina did something out of this world. She gave me a shape and didn't make my arch more intense. She instead worked with it and provided me with results I loved. I didn't feel rushed in her chair. Reina took her time with me and it was a very nice experience. I will be back. I am okay with paying a slight premium if I know I am paying for good services. Payment was easy. She gives you a card filled out and you take it to the cashier. Worked for me really especially since I had bought some other items from Ulta and was able to pay all together. read more

I've been to the Brow Bar in Hawaii and this place in Ulta on Stephanie St. Usually in Hawaii I'll get different people because there's so many of them. Since I've been coming to this one, I've usually had Genesis (I think that's her name) and she does a decent job, but yesterday I had Tara. Usually they map out the brows and show you before they start. Tara did not do this, she just jumped in with the wax. It only took about 20 minutes or less, and I like the shape of my brows, BUT this is the first time I've gotten my upper layer of skin ripped off... Usually they will talk to me and see what I'm doing the rest of the day. She did ask me how my day was, but other than that she didn't talk much. And after they're done they'll usually put a little makeup to cover the redness. She didn't do that. And thinking about it, I remember it stinging a lot more than usual. She did put some Gimme Brow on my eyebrows though (which is something I usually do). When I was walking to the cash register I checked out my brows in the mirror and they looked good. My skin was red from being waxed and my hubby and I were going to lunch after this so I looked for some concealer to cover up the redness. I used some of the demo makeup to cover around the brows and tried to make it match the rest of my face. Hard when it's really red. lol. Anyway, it really burned when I put the makeup over a certain area. I also noticed that in that same area it kinda looked like there was a depression? Like a hole or something. I realized that she must have taken some skin off too. I'm not sure if she knew or not, but that's the first time something like this has ever happened to me. I did give her a tip because at least she gave my brows a good shape, but maybe I shouldn't have since she hurt my skin...? I just know if I go back to this brow bar I'll make sure to get someone else. read more

I had my brows tinted and waxed for the first time today by Tara and my overall experience was beyond amazing. I was super nervous, but she talked me through the whole process and the result was an amazing brow service! My brows look full and very clean, and there was minimal redness around my brows by the time she finished. Pain level wasn't so bad, if I had to compare the feeling, it felt like ripping a bandaid off. Of course this varies from person to person, but there will be some discomfort, no way around that. Genesis was amazing!!!! After several bad waxing experiences (not at Ulta) i decided to stay away from any eye brow grooming for three months. I was very hesitant to have them waxed again. Genesis reassured me and was phenomenal! She first traced where she would wax, explaining where my brows should start, arch, and end. She asked if i was satisfied with the look before proceeding. She then waxed very gently and i had little to no pain. When she was done they looked fantastic! After, she taught me how to fill in my own eyebrows and made them look even better!
