The food was okay but the service was wonderful. I did only try the smoked wings but the ranch was delicious. The tater tots were a little salty for my liking but I intend on going back to try other items because I went to the west Chester location and I love Alexandria brewery that they are partnered with. I'll send updates on the next visit.

Everyone here was so nice!! The food was delicious and perfect for a cold day like this past weekend. We had never been to Alexandria Brewing Company and they not only had delicious beer but also had great food. There were lots of regulars there when we arrived which just shows that it is a cool place to hang out. We would for sure come back

Love everything about this place! The staff is so friendly and they attract such great patrons, got are sure to make some new friends. Had never tried smoked wings before but I'm now a huge fan! The Alabama white sauce was recommended and didn't disappoint. Look forward to the next visit!

Bender's Pub Grub is located inside Alexandria Brewing Company. My husband and I know the owners of ABC and we were down there for one of their releases. We decided to grab dinner while we were there. Oh. My. Goodness. Bender's is AMAZING! I had been waffling between ordering the chicken club sandwich or the wings. I am so so so glad I went with the wings! I got the wings with their Alabama White Sauce, which they make in house. I am now obsessed with this sauce! We even bought a small container of it to bring home. When I have my chicken nuggets for lunch, I've been using this sauce in them. So so so so so good! Bender's is a neat little business that complements the brewery well. Their menu isn't huge but it is sufficient! There are more things I can't wait to try. Their customer service is also excellent. The brewery was absolutely slammed when we were there and Bender's had specials to go along for the night. They told us to expect a 45-60 minute wait. My husband also ordered wings with the dry rub. Our food came out in way less than 45 minutes. We enjoyed chatting with the owners when they closed their service for the evening. We cannot wait to go back and enjoy their food again!

Bender's Pub Grub is a spot inside the Alexandria Brewery. Got there on a Tuesday, so it was burger night. $6.95 for a single patty smash burger, with options for various prices. I had a loaded burger. $6.95, plus $2 for an extra patty (normally required for smash burgers), 50 cents for cheese, and so on (had bacon, avocado, and "the garden"). Around $12 for a burger and tots is not a bad deal (normally $15.95 on menu without everything). We also had a pretzel and beer cheese. How was the burger? Over salted. When I went back up to get a to go box, a guy was asking for no salt on his burger, so I am guessing the locals know better. I would also say the patties are big enough you can forgo the $2 charge on the extra patty. See picture. I also grabbed some wings. Mine were buffalo and South Carolina BBQ and my friends got Alabama White BBQ and Spicy Honey Mustard. Wings are nicely smoked and if I lived in the area, the Alabama White BBQ definitely took the prize. Picture has my wings and you can see the Alabama white in the picture looking down the bar towards the door. Pretzel? Good, but I am not a fan of the thicker Kentucky beer cheese. I won't knock the place, as this is a personal preference, but do note the beer cheese is more like a spread than a dip. I am torn if this is 3 - my experience - or 4, what it could be with a less salted patty. I am opting for benefit of the doubt and letting you know less salt is an option. I preferred the wings over the burger, so Wednesday Night would be a great option for someone who lives in Northern Kentucky.

Chicken and Waffles (Top) Tater Tots (Middle) Smoked Chicken Wings (Bottom)

I think that I had some of the best wings in my life ever yesterday. Just an overall life changing smoked wing. We arrived just around 6:15 but despite that service was very fast. The food got to us in maybe 15 minutes. The chicken and waffles were delicious. The chicken was hot and juicy and the waffle had a very good vanilla flavor in it. The tater tots weren't anything super special but still a good tater tot. Now to the wings, we got the wings with Alabama white bbq sauce. They were crispy, smoky, juicy and just perfect. Definitely worth a return visit just for the food alone!

They had parking, and although they were full on reservations, 2 spots at the bar opened up and we grabbed them happily! First, the food was FANTASTIC! I had the Willy Burger and my husband had the fried bologna sandwich and we both loved what we ordered and vice versa. The sauce on the burger was phenomenal! The drink menu was extensive and looked so good but we were in a bit of a hurry and I'm 6 months pregnant so we settled for waters. Second, the service was excellent. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The ambience was great, I loved the big open garage door and patio seating they offered. The decor was so cute! We are bummed that brunch reservations for tomorrow are full, but we will absolutely be back!

They have a nice outdoor area, which we avoided due to the current heatwave. We ordered two apps - FRIED GREEN TOMATOES - Topped with Libby's pimento cheese, pork belly lardons, bourbon onion jam, and herb oil and FRIED CHICKEN SKINS - Hand breaded and served with hot honey dipping sauce. The fried green tomatoes were nicely plated, though the pork belly lardons and bourbon onion jam did not have the most pleasant color. They were good, but not as great as the description. Fried chicken skin is the thing! I first had it when we lived in California. An Asian market served them up thinly breaded and fried perfectly crispy. I just about jumped out of my skin when I saw it on the menu at Libby's. The breading at Libby's is thick. It's tasty for sure, but it's quite thick. A quick glance at the chicken skins and it looks like full-on chicken. Anyway, they were very good and I would definitely order them again. I had a taste of the hot honey dipping sauce because it spilled. It was good, but for me it detracted from the flavor I'm looking for. I had to have the FRIED BOLOGNA BLT - House smoked bologna, pimento cheese, fried egg, house made BBQ sauce, spring mix lettuce, & sliced green tomato on grilled 16 Bricks sourdough. First, it was huge! I could only eat half. It was very good. All the different flavors mixed together well. It was messy!! It was so obviously messy the server brought over extra napkins without us having to ask! Top Notch! Oh, the mac and cheese side was just okay. I barely touched it. The second half of the sandwich was delicious cold. It was also not messy at all. The leftover mac and cheese had turned inedible in the fridge. I did not mind throwing it out. My friend had the CLASSIC TURKEY CLUB. It was also huge and she only ate half. The fries were crispy and delicious. Mark had THE DOC HOLLADAY. He said it was okay. He also only ate half. I think he enjoyed the cold leftover more. I like the menu; lots of options. The place is cute. The staff is great. We'd definitely come back.

The place is small and had a very weird vibe between fine dining and kitschy. White tablecloths, but then lots of purple and pictures of roosters everywhere (I realize the name, but hmmm). Our server was lovely but would disappear for too long between times when she should have been present. We ordered our drinks at 745pm, and I watched them sit at the end of the bar. Finally, at 805pm, I went to the bartender and said, "those are our drinks that have been sitting there for a while". Our server brought them over like we ordered them 5 minutes prior. But the lovely owner/manager came over and said the "drinks are on me" because we waited so long. We appreciated that! The fried chicken was good, but the breading was very salty. The green beans were almost inedible because they were so salty. The mashed potatoes were average. The biscuits were fantastic. The fried deviled eggs were okay. A regular deviled egg is better. The shrimp and grits had a lot going on. The shrimp was lightly battered and fried (?) and the flavor of the dish was bold. I think sauteed shrimp and a little less gravy would make it perfect.

One evening, we decided to try a local place, Kelly's Homestead Restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We walked in and found the restaurant fairly busy. After waiting at the entrance, the host simply asked, "How many?" then grabbed menus and walked off toward a booth without saying "Follow me" or offering any kind of welcome. She tossed the menus on the table and walked away--no greeting, no "Your server will be right with you," nothing. We sat for 15 minutes without a single server acknowledging us or taking a drink order. Looking around, we noticed other tables had drinks, but hardly anyone seemed to be having their orders taken. Eventually, we left and headed to Cracker Barrel, where both the service and the food were fantastic. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Kelly's Homestead Restaurant.

Through all of our visits, we've had some truly wonderful meals, but this one may have been the top! We were immediately greeted at the door by Kristen who welcomed us back and showed is to our preferred table. Shortly after, Henry introduced himself as our server. Having already previewed the just dropped summer menu, we had a pretty good idea what we wanted. Henry shared some specials and we got to to ordering. The tuna appetizer was a great start. Three different cuts of tuna with a peach and oil sauce. The fish was amazing with the slight peach flavor amping it up a notch. Great start. Next we had the pork belly skewer. The pork belly was grilled with a drizzle of Alabama bbq. The pork belly was so tender and flavorful. Again, plenty of smiles to go around. For the main course, we shared the fish and iberico mains. The fish this night was swordfish which was so flavorful and moist. The iberico was tender and, for me, the corn maque choux made the dish. I could have eaten a big bowl of that goodness! Though we dont normally order desert, we did get to peach skillet cobbler. A perfect light tasty finish to the meal. Throughout the evening, Henry was the perfect server, happy to share his observations and always with a smile. Love when we get a minute with Chef Jeff as well.
