Keep your vehicles locked, there are break-in's at night. If you are robbed, have a peeping tom, noisy rude neighbors, or your power goes out, call the sheriff's department. The owner doesn't want to be bothered. BEWARE! The owner has a boyfriend/co-manager that is belligerent and irrational. He will cuss you out and threaten to evict you over minute issues. He has bullied us and others in the park. You have rights as a tenant. Contact sheriff office if he harasses you. Don't put up with it.

I was on Route 82 going east from Port Arthur. After a short ferry ride I arrived in Cameron and was looking for a place to have a picnic lunch. That's when I noticed some open space and Murphy's RV Park. There stood a pavilion with a picnic table, it was perfect! So I called the number on their sign and Wendy answered. I told her I just wanted to picnic and wondered if there was a day use rate. She said they don't do that but since it's not busy go right ahead and enjoy yourself. I thought that was so kind and generous I decided to write this review even though I didn't have an RV or trailer or stay the night. Later I called her back to thank her and asked a few questions. They've got full hookups and WiFi, competitive rates and it's been a family business since 1953. That's 70 years of proof they're doing it right and that you should stay here with your RV or trailer. Thanks again Wendy, my dogs and I had a wonderful time!
