Before I could open my moth I was barked at and told to sign in and sit down. Exactly those words! I tried to explain that I was only offering my sons insurance card and to check on the approx wait time . Darnese at the front desk then barked at me again that only one computer was working and that I should sit down. I nicely explained that I was only checking for an update and to offer my sons insurance card. She then said she didn't have a computer and had no idea how long it would be. At this point I was pissed and told her that I was simply asking for information so I could decide if I should come back another time . She then barked at me that she had no idea. This woman is the rudest person that I have encountered in a customer facing position in a very long time . I will not be visiting Ortho Carolina again. This rudeness is unacceptable. This woman should consider a career change and learn some manners.

That alone meant more than I can put into words. Dr. Vilasagar and her entire team made me feel genuinely valued and cared for throughout this entire experience. Every person I interacted with took the time to listen, answer my questions, and make sure I felt comfortable and informed. No question was ever too small, and I never felt rushed or dismissed. You can tell that everyone in that office truly cares about their patients and is passionate about helping them get their lives back. During my surgery, I not only had endometriosis excised and underwent a hysterectomy, but adenomyosis was also confirmed. Finally having answers and knowing there were real reasons for the pain I had experienced was incredibly validating. I'm still recovering from surgery, so my journey isn't finished, but I can already tell that things are so much better. I'm looking forward to what life will look like without the pain that had become such a normal part of my everyday existence. One of the most unexpected impacts of this experience is how much it has made me want to advocate for others. Living with endometriosis can be incredibly isolating, and so many of us spend years searching for answers, being dismissed, or feeling like we just have to live with the pain. I want other women going through this to know that they deserve to be heard, believed, and given the same level of compassionate care that I received. I am beyond thankful that I found Dr. Vilasagar and her team. They didn't just provide excellent medical care; they gave me answers, validation, hope, and the feeling that I finally had people in my corner. Both Amber,…read morethe PA & Dr. Vilasagar are extremely empathetic and listen and answer questions effectively and with sensitivity. Dr. Vilasagar has the best bedside manner of any doctor of any type I have ever had (at 39 years old). Not only that, she was extremely thorough during pre-op, during operation, when she met with my husband to explain everything and show him the pictures (while I was in recovery), and during my post-op visit. I feel like she truly cared and was not in a rush to get to the next patient. On April 14th, 2026 I had full excision of Stage 4 bowel endometriosis, a hysterectomy and an appendectomy. I am about 11 1/2 weeks post my surgery and I feel amazing. Honestly I felt pretty amazing by day 15 (better than I did prior to surgery, that's for sure). I cannot explain how much my quality of life has improved. Prior to surgery I was bleeding 3 weeks per month. During my "period week", a full 7 days, It was unbearable. Between the heaviness of the bleeding and the pain from cramping, getting through the days was a challenge. I had pain whenever I ate during that week as well. It did not matter what I ate, healthy or not. All that I mentioned is completely gone. Before surgery, not just during my period week but 100% of the time, I would feel exhausted after I ate a meal, unless it was really small (under 200 calories). Not anymore!! I can eat a solid lunch or eat dinner without feeling like I need to lay down. My digestion in general has improved considerably. That was such a pleasant surprise! Honestly, it feels like a weight has been lifted. If you have endometriosis, I highly recommend you have Dr. Vilasagar remove it!
