I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Resurgens. Initially, I thought everything was…read moregoing well. I was grateful to finally have an MRI and receive a steroid injection, which provided significant relief for several months. When the pain returned, however, I began to realize that there didn't seem to be a clear plan beyond repeating MRIs and steroid injections. These procedures are expensive and, for me, quite intimidating, and scheduling them with clear communication seems to be unlikely. What ultimately prompted me to seek care elsewhere was being told by my PA that my MRI was "unremarkable" and, for the third time, being encouraged to have my back evaluated, despite repeatedly explaining that the pain was very clearly coming from my hip. At that point, I felt that my concerns were not being adequately addressed and that I needed another opinion. I ultimately saw a hip specialist, MD, at another practice, who reviewed my imaging, identified a labral tear, and gave me a treatment plan with actual next steps. I am grateful that I sought a second opinion, but incredibly disappointed by the amount of time, money, and continued pain it took to get here. With my new provider, I was not dismissed and told that my imaging results were "unremarkable"... what a tone-deaf and dismissive thing to be told after you explain your years of deep hip pain. He is polite, professional, and personable, and the perfect compliment to the rest of the staff. I was always seen promptly, and often saw different people. Not such a big deal, but some seemed more knowledgeable than others. I had several areas on my body that needed to be treated, and the doctor who performed my injections worked miracles. I only saw him once and can't say that I ever met Dr. Barbour, yet I've only heard good things about him. I did see the same PA twice, and he gets extra credit for listening to my concerns and showing genuine empathy. Unfortunately I don't recall his name either, another reason why Phil is such a standout!
