Sports Rehabilitation came highly recommended to me by a family member; unfortunately I found my visits to be entirely worthless. I visited at least 6 times. In fact, after most appts I felt worse than I had when I got there. Many times during my appointments a student in training worked with me under supervision of another therapist. (For what it's worth she seemed to care more than the actual therapist. Also, I have no problem with students in training). When the therapist who I'd had the appointment with actually worked one on one with me he frankly seemed uninterested and like he couldn't wait for the appointment to be over. In fact, on one occasion he left early because it was the end of his shift, and on another occasion he literally put on his coat at the tail end of the appointment and said goodbye and left me in the hands of another therapist to put a heating pad on my neck. He truly seemed like he could care less about me getting better or finding out how he could help me. The final straw was when he realized I didn't have any more appointments on the calendar (I'd already decided I wouldn't be coming back by this point) and he tried to encourage me to schedule some more appointments and for the first time gave me some performance empathy...it was obvious to me he wanted me to do this not because he thought he could help me or cared, but rather because he wanted more appointments on the calendar to make quota. Very disappointed with my experience and I've already made arrangements to go elsewhere. Maybe I just had the wrong therapist, but I was really turned off completely from this rehab center.

I went in for PT due to a torn rotator cuff beginning in March after Covid hit. Kirsten was my 3rd therapist assigned to me (4th week) and I'm so glad she was! She was great! The other two PTs only provided exercises, Kirsten provided the manual work on my arm that I desperately needed in addition to the exercises. I couldn't use my arm for 6 weeks (in a sling). My arm had trigger points and pain up and down the arm, particularly around my elbow and under the arm near the arm pit. Each time I went she'd manually manipulate the problems areas providing tremendous relief. She was fun, pleasant and upbeat - great energy. I followed her guidance carefully and have full use of my arm and it was a massive tear. I highly recommend her.

After I injured my rotator cuff wrestling with an overly excited german shepherd, Dr. Fowler again listened patiently and attentively while I confessed my concerns over its progressive lack of mobility. With an evaluation and x-rays, Dr. Fowler identified the illness and provided an exercise program specifically catering to my needs. With Health Insurance cost on the rise, more and more individuals will opt to pay premium prices to ensure good quality care. In my opinion, Dr. Fowler will definitely qualify. The front office service is friendly and speedy. The waiting room is professional, cozy and quiet. The office complex does charge for parking but Dr. Fowler always runs appointments on schedule. I have never had to wait longer than my appointment time. In fact when I got there early, I was seen 15 minutes ahead of time! Betsy did my x-rays and she was very considerate when positioning me for the machine and participated in a friendly conversation which distracted me from my shoulder worries. Dr. Garten was great as well, explaining why I was experiencing the pains in my heel and shoulder and telling me what I could do to help avoid and alleviate the pain, including a few weeks of physical therapy. He diagnosed my shoulder as impingement and let me know that it was fixable which was a relief. For the ladies who may decide to visit Paragon, lemme warn you... Dr. Garten is a little bit of a hottie. He makes a lot of direct eye contact and his baby blues are hypnotic. It was all I could do not to giggle while he was talking to me. But I did a great job of keeping myself together, and I hope you do too. Prior to my visit, I had to cancel and reschedule because of the recent snow in Atlanta, and Paragon was quick to respond. I also had an insurance question about my visit that I handled via email, and received a quick response for that as well. If you call and get the voice mail, leave a message because they'll call you back fairly quickly or the next day. You'll have to pay for parking to visit Paragon. It's located in the Northwest Medical Offices (inside the west building with the big W on the side). The parking isn't expensive at $2 for up to 30 min and $3 for up to 60 min. The rates go up after that, but I didn't capture how high. Overall, two thumbs up!

Due to my former job with the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers, Dr. Hoadley sent me to Dr. Garten. Finding the place wasn't hard, and it's in one of the nicest housing areas of Atlanta you'll see (West Paces Ferry Rd). Parking was a breeze (you will pay $5 to park), and then his office was in the West Tower on the 2nd Floor (there is also an East Tower). Walking in, I found the office space to be very clean and seemed to be very new. Maybe it was just all the modern furniture. I was the only one there (must have been the first patient at 9AM), and got checked in right away. The front desk lady was very nice. It wasn't long before I was called back and waited. I had handed the lady my MRI cd and notes, and she had me wait while Dr. Garten reviewed it. I certainly didn't mind the 10 minute wait or so. Walking in, Dr. Garten was very friendly and I just loved his demeanor. I went over a brief history of my running, and he had me hop up on the table and lie down. It took him literally three minutes to hit the pain points. He mentioned he reviewed my MRI and went over what was ailing me, but had wanted to check the spots first. It was SUCH a relief to hear. It was more a relief to hear that my injury wouldn't require surgery, and that a steroid pack plus PT should resolve it. Even better, someone in his family had the same injury as mine, so he referred to a PT that could handle it. I'm certainly a happy customer, b/c of the service I received and also the immediate result of knowing what was wrong. I would refer Dr. Garten to anybody. Great bedside manner and accurate diagnosis.

She understood exactly what I needed and created a plan for me, to try alternative solutions. This took over a year. Over one year later, I now walk without crutches and without pain, and without ever having surgery. A combination of process and procedures went into my healing and Dr Sylvia was one of them. The reason I took out one star was because of her rude receptionist whom I am hoping no longer works there because she ruins the expectation which greatly contrasts the amazing consultation you get from Dr Sylvia. If you can ignore the receptionists abrupt rudeness, Dr Sylvia is the best you'll get, hands down!

Update responsive to Mr. Martin's recent review: As many…read morepeople do when you can't fall asleep at night, we play on the Internet. I noticed this recent review from someone named Mike Martin. I think if anyone is misrepresenting the facts, it is not David Mesnick. I attended physical therapy with David for almost 2 years. I was told when I made the first appointment that they don't take insurance; I was also told again face-to-face when I was checking out on day one, plus I have seen it on their website. However, for a flat fee of $50 per year, they will help you with the paperwork if you want to file a claim against your policy, but they do not take insurance and they expect payment immediately after their service is rendered. Everyone who goes to PT 360 knows that, except Mr. Martin. What I don't understand, and what makes absolutely no sense, is that when you complete your session, you stop by the front desk to pay. I assume Mr. Martin paid on his way out for each of his five sessions. At a minimum, I assume he knew after the very first session that 1) they don't take insurance and 2) they charge an annual fee of $50 to help you process the paperwork if you want to make a claim against your policy. So why did he, therefore, continue with four additional sessions??? I'm writing this review because I hate to see a good quality business like PT 360 slandered by someone's "misunderstanding," intentional or otherwise. I fail to see why Mr. Martin can't simply own up to the fact that perhaps he misunderstood instead of trying to interfere with a small local business by telling reviewers a bunch of BS and saying, don't go to this business - that's a terribly vicious way to handle what is obviously a misunderstanding on his part and/or a possible problem with insurance forms. David and the physical therapists at PT 360 are exceptional, professional, and ALWAYS gracious (never ever rude). They provide a much more hands-on approach to each patient versus the big orthopedic groups - that's why people continue to go to them even though they don't take insurance. I've used David and Sam, and my mother used Amanda. I can't say enough good things about all of them, as do all of the many unanimous 5 Star reviews on Google. Looking at Mr. Martin's other Yelp review, he enjoys critiquing the businesses he visits and even went so far as to accuse the other business of being "criminal." I'm not sure what his personal issues are, but I recommend that you go to PT 360 and see for yourself. You'll find David to be a soft-spoken gentleman, not the person depicted by Mr. Martin. I'm confident your experience will differ greatly from the one portrayed by Mr. Martin. Even my 90-year-old mother understood their payment policy, from day one and was extremely pleased with the promptness of their submission of insurance forms.....

Please read this entire review to understand why I'm giving this practice one star. Let me start on…read morea positive note and say that Sam Kridl is a wonderful physical therapist. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and very effective. Now, on to the well-deserved negative portion of my review. My physician referred me to PT360, and when I called, I specifically asked, "Are you in-network with my insurance provider, Aetna?" And the staff member told me, "Yes". I went to my first session with Sam, and afterward was told, "It's our policy to charge customers $50 to file your insurance claims." I was caught a bit off guard and said, "Wait a minute, I have to pay you to file claims, for you to get paid?" I've never heard such a thing. At this point, I asked a second time, "Are you in-network with my insurance provider, Aetna?" and was once again told, "Yes!" I did five sessions, asking each time if the previous claim had been filed, and I was assured it was. Well, they weren't. And not only that, it turns out that PT360 does NOT accept insurance. I had met my out-of-pocket for the year, so instead of my sessions being fully covered, I owed 100% of the cost of those sessions. While their mishandling of the insurance was costly and certainly disappointing, that's not why I have written this critical review. I reached out and respectfully shared details about my experience and received the most unbelievably rude and disrespectful reply from PT360's owner, David Mesnick. He told me I had "...misheard or forgot" what their policy was. Furthermore, he said (and this is a direct quote), "We are unapologetic about how we run our business." There are so many great physical therapists in Atlanta. Why would any customer do business with a company that misleads customers and then has the nerve to treat them this way? If you do choose PT360, just know this is concierge therapy, and contrary to what they may tell you, they DO NOT accept your insurance, and you will pay 100% out of pocket. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you want further proof of this owner's unprofessionalism, just read his reply, "This man is on Yelp with bald-faced lies and clearly doesn't value the good care he received." As I said in my review, I truly value Sam's care; it's the deceptive business practices I take exception to. Thanks for proving my point, David.
