I think that every chiropractor is a little different and you need to find the right one for you. There is no universal chiro treatment. So with this in mind, here are the things I like about Dr. Drew: He spent a lot of time with me my first visit understanding my body, my current pains, previous injuries, what I expect from my body, and what I need out of a Dr. Really open and non-judgmental. Gives me a really gentle and confident manual adjustment. My husband (who has also been seeing him since I came home raving about my treatment) says that he gets a much stronger adjustment. Which is just how we both like it. Does tons(!) of joint and deep tissue work. He has his massage therapist certification up on his wall. So he's not just about your bones. My joints have never been so happy. Gives me good tips on things I can pay attention to help improve my body on a daily basis. And then gives me a few (approx 15 min/day) exercises and stretches to help me improve between treatments. With me, he's all about how I function as a whole and working on balancing me out. Whole body health is really important to me, and he just gets me. I've been seeing him for more than two months now and have seen a marked improvement in that time. Most of my issues are more long term changes and not intense pain that needs immediate attention. I would especially recommend him for athletes as he's really good at dealing with performance issues. I also think that he would be great for people who are a little leery about chiropractic because he's so friendly, knowledgeable, and has a great way of making you feel at ease. while I know that he's probably not right for everyone, I can't help recommending him to anyone I know that might benefit from his services.

(At the urging of my husband I first saw my doctor who, without imaging, diagnosed a lateral collateral ligament tear. I didn't think the symptoms fit my knee pain or onset of symptoms.) I was scheduled to see Molly Tuesday afternoon and hobbled my sorry self into the office. She performed the most amazing and exquisitely targeted massage I've ever had. She also demonstrated and coached me with some strengthening exercises to speed up my recovery. Will I run the half marathon on July 4? The jury is still out, but I can say with certainty I feel so much better than I did 12 hours ago. Thanks, Molly! I'll continue to spread the word about you!

Easy to schedule, friendly staff, convenient location. (This review is for the Cornell Road location, with Dr. John Zdor.)…read more Every time I come home from my appointments with Dr. Zdor, I tell my husband "My physical therapist is *so good!*" I was referred to Dr. Zdor by my phenomenal podiatrist, Dr. Denny Le, to treat the foot and ankle pain that I'd had for three years after a sprain. I could go on for paragraphs (well, I guess I will...) about how thrilled I am with the treatment I've received. John isn't just technically excellent, he's a wonderful teacher; he explains anatomy, physiology, and neurological retraining so well, and that kept me motivated to do my exercises at home. He genuinely cares about how clients are doing, is truly happy to hear when they're doing well, and took the time to make some careful adjustments to my previous crummy orthotics to make them more useful until my wonderful new ones from Dr. Le arrived. One other thing that especially impresses me about John compared with other physical therapy I've had is that he's not locked into a plan with a preordained set of treatments or exercises. On a recent visit we were all set to do some more ligament/muscle/tendon-focused treatments and exercises, but in passing I mentioned a new sensation I had in my foot and he immediately adjusted that day's visit to focus on the nerves in my back and legs in an entirely new way. That flexibility said a lot to me about his holistic approach to treatment. He and the team--Morgan, Beau, and Hal--are all so nice, friendly, supportive, and encouraging, and are really observant and helpful about every detail of body mechanics to make sure that their clients are getting the most out of every exercise. I might post a review of a restaurant without feeling super responsible for the quality of other people's experiences, but I would never recommend anything or anyone that might affect another person's health lightly, so I really mean it when I say that I truly could not praise Dr. Zdor and the team at Creekside Physical Therapy more highly.

Two years ago I broke the left side ankle but it healed and there was some confusion over all that with the doctors, x-rays etc etc...but the doctors concluded it is "just sprained". I was a tad frustrated when I got here but these amazing folks have been a shining light! First, they had a parking lot with room in it! I live super close by and as a long time resident I just assumed there were no businesses in downtown Beaverton with their own parking. I drove right on past their lot and parked in front of Ava so thankful I managed to grab a space. I was shaking my head when I walked past their lot to go inside. They have made everything so easy, from making my first appointment on. The crazy part was - I was handed the referral sheet from my doctor... I needed to go to a different medical office to get a prescription and another brace which took probably an hour. I get in the car, leaving that location... and get a call from them to schedule my first appointment! I had to call her back since I needed to get all the info which was at my house. Everyone is quick to interact and engage which is just so nice. We are not there for a grand time so kindness helps. And my therapist has been so great listening to me and also genuinely poking and prodding around and constantly reminding me not to push it. I am THAT person with an insane pain tolerance so I will harm myself without even realizing it so I appreciate the reminders.

My experience with physical therapy in the past hadn't been positive, but I've changed my mind now. ATI (just off Murray) is a great choice for exceptional care. I found the experience with physical therapists, Matt Dunn and Clarke Young, to be exceptional in that they seemed to really care for and connect with all their patients. Annette at the front desk is always cheerful, knowledgeable and able to accommodate changes in scheduling. Everyone's mood there is positive, supportive, and enthusiastic. There is much humor, personal attention, and most of all-encouragement to do our best. Thanks to their care and attention, I'm better able to manage my back problems with less pain and a better spirit. If you are in need of physical therapy, try ATI (off Murray in Beaverton). I think you'll be pleased.

Our family members are very savvy and skilled patient advocates and his daughter is a highly qualified professional RN who knows these facilities and about such care, and we were with Patrick at Avamere in Medford and then Beaverton for his Hosipice for months. No facility is perfect and anyone with a loved one in a facility like this must be good advocates for their patient and get involved! But I am giving them 5 starts because they had a well qualified nursing and patient care group of professionals, the facility was clean, and we were able to work with Avamere Beaverton Nursing and Management to make my Brother's last days as pain free and comfortable as possible. For that we were thankful. Stephen Beck, Los Angeles

If you needed to see the Nurse (which there was only 1 for up to 18+ patients) it could take 2-3 hours. The same for the CNAS. My surgery wound got infected. Nothing was done for 10days. It would be looked at every few days and the comments were-oh this is getting redder, or this has gotten longer,-or,now its oozing. I never saw a Dr, it was all over the phone. I need to have a 4th surgery as the infection didn't respond to the antibiotic and finally the medication was increased but too late. The building was in such bad shape. To get into the shower room you had to go over a torn floor. The wheels would get caught and it was dangerous. They sold the building so they spruced up with painting the room. However, you could see where it was sloppily done. The only helpful people in the building were Kaylene (the PT) and Todd ( OT). They were awesome. Very supportive, caring and would answer all questions. However they were often overworked due to patient loads. Bottom line: DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO ANY AVAMERE CENTER.
