At this point, it's almost laughable! Appointments (especially with any specialists) are now booked four months or more out. I scheduled a first-time consultation with Dr. Sofia Avitia for 12/26/2025. I made this appointment back in September! Then, on Wednesday 11/26 I received a call in the afternoon informing me that the doctor would not be available on 12/26 and that I would need call to reschedule. When I called them back on Monday 12/1 after returning home Thanksgiving vacation, I was told the next available appointment was March 6th!!! Keep in mind, I'm seeking this appointment because I'm having swallowing issues. So after scheduling in September, I now cannot be seen until March, which comes out to reaching a six-month window. This is exactly why I say the scheduling situation has almost become laughable and completely unacceptable. I went ahead and grabbed the March 6 appointment just in case I cannot find another doctor sooner, but given my symptoms, I have no choice but to search for someone who can see me within a reasonable amount of time. Considering the inconvenience, I expected at least some level of priority, but instead I felt like I was treated as if I were calling to make an initial appointment all over again. What is really going on at Facey? It is now almost impossible to make any appointment at a reasonable time. I honestly believe they will soon reach a six month scheduling window, which is crazy.

I had a positive experience all around - a couple minor things/events could've been better but nothing to dissuade me from continuing to seek care here. In the first half of my prenatal care I saw Cassandra Chen - her and Claudia (medical assistant) were absolute joys to see and I always felt well taken care of. I started seeing the practice doctors after week 28, rotating through so I could meet as many as possible before delivery, since I didn't know who would be on call the day-of. I especially enjoyed seeing Dr Kazadi and Dr Tuso. My delivery day doctors ended up being ones I didn't previously meet but they were just as nice as all the others. I plan to continue my care with Facey for any obgyn needs.

I was charged around one thousand dollars for an online visit just to get a prescription refill and speak with my primary physician, who has been my doctor for the past four years. Unfortunately, his previous clinic was shut down, and he had to move to UCLA Health. The virtual consultation lasted only five minutes. When I confronted the clinic about the high charge, they claimed it was necessary because it was my first visit and I have chronic conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol. However, all I needed was a refill! Of course the insurance didn't cover it and I got hit with a $650 FOR ONE ONLIVE VISIT as out of pocket. This feels like fraudulent practice and abuse.

[This review is for the new location, still in the H.Mayo complex. Yelp will not allow me to…read moreinclude the address in my review.] Sort reviews "newest first" and learn the whole story. The recent reviews are terrible, and the older ones show 5 stars. I'm submitting feedback here because UCLA has ignored my comments to them, which they solicited. (I better not get a "business manager" asking me to fill out a form, now that I've posted to Yelp.) I have been a patient at Motion Picture healthcare plan in Santa Clarita since I moved here several years ago. My doctors are Dr Kim and Dr Hasbun, and they are *excellent.* The practice transferred to UCLA. I didn't know what to expect, but I was optimistic. I received good care at UCLA Reagan hospital in Westwood. Well, I'm learning a lot about the new regime. I've made over a dozen visits since the buyout. I have always had good exchanges with front office staff. I expect to check in and pay my copay. This staff is busy and working in cramped space. They have the most stressful jobs in the practice, IMO. They are met with constant flow of patients, many of whom are anxious and reactive, due to health concerns. The new offices: radically downsized--during the height Covid deaths in the US. And the patient population has expanded, it's not just MPTF patients anymore. So these smaller offices are far too small to accommodate patients and personnel. The doctor, my husband and I were seriously cramped in the tiny exam room today. It is too small for 2 people, and we were 3. The phlebotomy room, where I also received a flu shot, is ridiculously small. Patients had to queue in the crowded hallway as they waited for blood draws. It's so tight in there, that when I turned in my chair, I elbowed some supplies and sent a needle flying off the nurse's little shelf. I can guess how often that happens every day. The nurse needs some space to work, not a tiny tray jammed between our chairs. There is such a quantity of equipment and supplies in that little room that it's stored vertically, near the ceiling. Care is conducted, essentially, in a utility closet. This situation is unprofessional and disturbing. When people work in crowded conditions they get stressed. When they are stressed, mistakes are made. And when mistakes are made in healthcare, the consequences can be dire. You don't need a patient to tell you this. Yet, it's how UCLA is doing business. There are personnel working in every nook and corner of the offices, including corridors never intended for desks. Teensy workstations are jammed tightly next to each other, patients brushing past workers' backs, patients blocking traffic, waiting in narrow halls for next steps during their visit, squeezing past workers to leave urine samples in a bathroom mere inches from workstations. (Better not require privacy...) I wonder if fire regulations are violated in this practice? This place feels dangerous, stuffing patients and healthcare workers into inadequate space. All while exhorting us to wear masks and be safe. Please. UCLA clearly doesn't care about the welfare of their own employees, nor their patients. 7-Eleven does a better job with physical distancing. I can't imagine how "UCLA Health" could show more contempt for patient and employee health and comfort, or treat their employees with less respect and professionalism. I don't feel confident in this practice anymore. The old offices were fine. Not luxurious, but there was enough room to swing. What I experience now provides a clear window into the values at UCLA: profit over professionalism, profit over patients. "When people tell you who they are, believe them." I believe you, UCLA.

I could honestly write a novel about how much I appreciate and respect him! Dr. Lo respected my decision to avoid opioid medication and thoughtfully recommended alternative treatments for my back pain. Eventually, the cause of my pain was identified as a birth defect requiring surgery, and his guidance throughout this journey has been invaluable. The entire staff at this office is knowledgeable and supportive. They always respond promptly to MyChart messages or phone calls, and I'm consistently seen on time. On the rare occasions when delays arise due to circumstances beyond their control, they always communicate updates about wait times. I've never felt unwelcome or like a nuisance while at the office--it's truly a warm and professional environment. Dr. Lo now has Ryan, PA, assisting him with patients, and he's a fantastic addition to the team. Like Dr. Lo, Ryan is empathetic, approachable, and equally committed to providing excellent care. I strongly believe in the idea that "you get what you give out to the world", and this office is proof of that. Dr. Lo, Ryan, and the staff exude positive and caring energy because they genuinely care. I'm so grateful for the amazing care I receive here!

His concern is genuine as is his teams and from someone who doesn't like doctors this is high praise. Highly recommended Dr Tony Lo
