Unlike some psychiatrists who glance over your condition and hand out a prescription, Dr.Hartt really takes the time to examine the source of the issues. She doesn't push medication and is relatively conservative when it comes to prescribing, which I admire. I have been seeing her for years and will continue to trust her with my well being.

The registered nurse and her assistant who I spoke with on the phone both made the decision that it's best that I don't come in and go somewhere else. They turned me away because they said I could have covid or the flu and they don't want me to infect the staff and other patients. Although my records show that I have severe allergies they wouldn't let me come in. Because of this and the fact that the nurse assistant who made me feel uncomfortable during visits I decided it would be best to find another clinic. Although I requested my medical records through a new clinic, my records were not sent in a timely manner which made me miss my new Doctor's appointment. But the other foot was in shambles. Out of sheer frustration I self diagnosed on google and thought i needed steroids injection into the Bursae. Thankfully no one was qualified to give these injections and I ended up at Dr Jeff Kozak's office for this to happen when he said that wasn't the issue! a true professional - he was disturbed but dispassionate as he meted out diagnosis - I had Tibialis posterior tenosynovitis & Peroneal tendinitis! The medication and instructions of how to rehabilitate began working the following day! swelling was halved and the pain dissipated after the 3rd day. i knew the ankle needed the prescribed "boot" but I chose to move slow on this one. in any case i am almost completed the treatment and you couldn't tell which foot had the dilemma. To cut to the chase - don't self diagnose or self medicate if you're injury is serious or not (in trying to save money)...you could be treating yourself to the wrong issue and cause a mountain of a problem later on (major cost and reduced quality of life). and for whats its worth i paid out of pocket and it wasn't as expensive i thought it would have been! On one occasion, I actually drove to the clinic to make the appointment in person, as I had called many times without being able to get a hold of someone. The staff and Dr Pick were very nice, and the boys appeared to get good care, so I was willing to overlook the communication issues. Today, was a very different experience. We went in for our annual physical, and I did not bring a copy of the boys vaccination records, as I didn't think I needed them, since they were on file. I delt with Veronica who was very short with me, and refused to look in the boys file for the vaccination record. My only option was to reschedule. I'm in school full time and work, this was the time I had allotted for the appointment. Veronica was present, as I called my husband to see if he could manage to get out of work the following week to bring the boys back, and it really didn't seem to phase her. She stated that it was Dr Picks policy to turn away patients who did not bring their vaccination records with them. Personally, I think it is a horrible policy, especially since no one made mention of this on the phone when I made the appointment, and we had been seen in the past without bringing the record, and it was not an issue. Meanwhile I arranged my schedule to make an appointment that was a complete waste of my time. Needless to say, I called our insurance and had them reassign the boys a new pediatrician, who they will be seeing soon.
