History

An experienced entertainer whose clean comedy style has been a success in many different venues. His comedy illusion show is currently the longest running amusement park magic show in history... thirty years at Adventureland Amusement Park in Des Moines, Iowa - since 1988. He has been the host of several Iowa television shows, including the KDSM Fox 17 Kids Club, and IPBN's The Comedy Shop.

Meet the Business Owner: Ben U.

Ben Ulin began performing magic as a boy from library books. In high school, he took a job in a magic shop where he was exposed to more professional magic props and resources as well as other magicians. He began doing shows after being hired by customers to do kids parties and this spring-boarded into company shows and other special events, where he enjoyed the challenge to develop different types and styles of magic to accommodate different audiences and venues. He has worked tableside at restaurants, street magic in San Francisco, his stand-up act at house parties, comedy clubs, cruise ships, theaters, and for 30 years he has created many larger illusions with assistants for his park show at Adventureland. His personal mission statement has always been, "To live comfortably off my own ideas and creativity."
