New venue in Waukee woooot wooooot! We saw Phil Rosenthal here and here was our experience: PARKING: We paid $15 for premier parking and that got us access to the main lot - a few steps from the entrance. My mom said the regular parking lot is a few blocks away, so might be worth paying extra for a good spot! ENTRANCE: For our show, it was easy! We arrived an hour prior to the start and got in within 5 minutes. Staff was quick in checking our tickets and getting us in. SPACE: This space is stunning and clearly brand new! Cool local mural on the wall, fun designs and decor, great bar lighting and ambiance. DRINKS: Priceyyyy haha pregame elsewhere! A simple cocktail was $20+. But the amount of bars is a LOT - like 5+? - so you'll not have to wait in line long. FOOD: They had a corn dog or popcorn available at our show - not much for concessions. Again, I'd pregame elsewhere! BATHROOMS: Great facilities! Very clean, tons of stalls and sinks. And a cool vibe in there - hats off to the designer. MAIN FLOOR: On the main floor, it's usually GA/standing room only for concerts I'm sure. But for ours - a more interview style show, we had fold out chairs. The stage was high enough we never had any issue seeing! UPPER SEATING: The seats up here are super comfy looking - maybe quite a bit further back and I'm not sure how the view compares, but so comfy! The best seats are the company-bought "box seats" similar to at a baseball game. There is a row of seats right along the rail but I think you'd have to look out through the railing if seated. read more

This venue looks new! From an initial first impression it looks very clean. I'm not sure about the service but there's a bar as soon as you walk in the lobby. A coat check next to the bathrooms. And bars in the concert area. The parking people were pretty nice. Premier parking is way closer than how the map makes it look. Kinda recommended it since it made getting to the venue and then leaving pretty smooth! read more

Seats are connected together so close a normal person unable to sit comfortably. When we asked to upgrade seats we were told they don't upgrade we would have to purchase the additional seats for full price. Very disappointed in this venue. Won't come back!! It is a terrific addition to the Des Moines Metro music scene. This intimate theatre is an efficient venue for a good concert, and I thoroughly enjoyed the recent Maren Morris concert as a result. It is an excellent location, just off the highway, and their parking lot is not only easy, but they avoided chaos with a cohesive staff before and after the show. I liked how their security personnel handled my wanting to bring bottled water (the website listed OK), but the artist had nixed bottles for this show. The result was solid, consistent, and professional answers from staff. Every seat is a good one; there is no need to worry about the upper section, which has chairbacks. There is easy access to outstanding restrooms. The acoustic is very good; I didn't see a poor seating location. I'll return. read more

What a great addition to the Greater Des Moines area. Some great artists coming and I cant wait to see more next year. We arrived about an hour after doors opened and there was a long line around the building, didn't wait long to get in. There are several bars, 4 total if I'm not wrong, short lines for drinks. The bathroom was DARK, I couldn't see well and I don't wear glasses. All the ladies were giggling about it. We were standing GA at a sold out show. I've been to a lot of shows in general, and I do wish the layout was a little different. A bar/sound booth/handicap was in the middle and took up a large area. Not anything that can be fixed. Sound was great! The artist had an issue with his guitar and left the stage for 20ish minutes. Not a sound engineer, so I won't pretend to know if it was an easy/difficult fix. Once they were up it was just fine. Oh! Premier parking was worth it! read more

What a super cool venue. This place has ample parking and numerous bar spaces throughout the venue. It is an upscale place to see performances... I was there of an event so I was just able to view the event space not see a concert. I am really looking forward to seeing a performance there as I think they may have thought about everything. I am very proud of Waukee because this is an Uber cool space! read more

Really poor experience, from start to finish. The parking was a bit messy, they had some workers directing traffic but not in the entire venue's parking lots. Once inside, everything was clean. Bar tenders were very overstaffed (even for a sold out show). No one ID'd us. I did see folks with bands on but we didn't have bands. If I'm paying $16.00 for a single drink; I expect they at least know how to pour & don't use a jigger under filling it. I've been to venue's all around the country & have never been UNDER poured on. The sound from the first act to the main (who we didn't even see play!)was off the entire time. Lots of feedback, lots of redirection needed from the artist's. **Main artist came out & they could NOT get his guitar working, then they couldn't get the mic sound right. After 40 mins we straight up left as our backs hurt from standing a few hours when we got to the venue. I will request Vibrant Music Hall make it right. I DO NOT recommend coming to see a concert here. Sadly, I do not think we will be back. They've had enough artists in the building now to have their sound together, yet they don't. Overall this venue needs to improve vastly in many areas. read more

Attended my first (& most likely last) show there last night...$15 to park, $25 if you want to be closer to the building...both ridiculous since it's not that big of a venue. Two alcoholic beverages $40... all ice & vodka definitely watered down! I watched them pour 2 1/2 shots in each drink but I couldn't taste it...I even was perfectly fine to drive home. Seats in GA not comfortable at all! They advertise on their website that they have various food options but there was only popcorn, pretzels with cheese, corndog, & candy. Overpriced tickets, overpriced drinks, rude security. Not worth the visit, in my opinion. I've been to over 7 shows and spent probably over 2k at this venue throughout all the events I've been to. Each time, I leave feeling like I was taken advantage of and the bands don't play as long as they should for the amount of money you spend on this event. This so called music hall is nothing kore than a greedy event center that seems to only care about taking all your money, and not making their patrons happy. I'm all for supporting the music industry/music scene, but I probably won't be going back to Vibrant Music Hall after the last event I went to recently. Right as I walked in, security singled me out, put me through secondary security and forced me to take off my belt, hoodie and go through not one, but two metal detectors. All they had to do was use a wand or feel for weapons or have me out all my stuff in a tray prior to going through the metal detector, but instead they had me walk through the 1st detector with my phone, keys and all my stuff in my hand which of course made it go off. The security caused the issue and then they made ke go to secondary secuirty becuase of thwir failure to actually do their job correctly. They were rude, treated me like a criminal, and then seemed to watch me throughout the event just because I was upset with them which they said if I don'tlike their policy, I could speak to a manager. They fucked up and caused the issue yet I'm the problem, no, I will just never spend my money at your event again. Pretty simple!! You can't treat people like shit, single them out and then just say it's your policy when I've never had that issue at any other event prior... I was sitting in official platinum seating at this last event and due to this experience spent no further money for drinks or merchandise and will probably ever go again. Seriously Vibrant, this is a venue in Waukee, Iowa, not Los Angeles or Chicago with gang violence and shootings/stabbings and whatnot to warrant treating people like shit right as they walk through the door and then have security keep an eye on you throughout the venue. So disappointed in your customer service, security and pricing. If you're thinking about going to this venue, I strongly suggest going to see a show at other venues and/or support local music, not a venue that only cares about taking all your money through outrageous ticket pricing, outrageous parking fees, and definitely outrageous drink prices! No drink should be like 30 bucks for a double... Do better Vibrant!! read more

This is a wonderful venue for music. The premier parking is great, so close to the building. And only $15. I've paid that to hike for 45 minutes to the venue, so that's a win. I did not get any cocktails, so not sure how pricy those were, but my White Claw was only $9. Reasonable for a concert venue. There is almost no waiting for anything. The staff is so efficient. I have tickets for another show and I cannot wait. read more

Very cool venue. Not too big, but big enough. Very modern with lots of neon lit bars. Saw Jimi Hendrix Experiece there in March. Drove from Kansas City and stayed the night. Well worth the trip. read more

I attended the John Cusack screening of High Fedelity at the Vibrant music hall last night. The venue looked great but was not super comfortable. The projector screen was a bit undersized for the number of people they packed in. The seating were smallishfolding chairs that were all connected in rows making getting in and out difficult. Following the screening there was no intermission prior John Cusack speaking. The local yokel host podcast nobody fan, that was doing the interview spoke as much if not more that John. Often interrupting John's flow to verbalize his agreement and add his two cents. Many of his questions were single sentence answers instead of open ended ones. Then Q&A came. There was no vetting of the questions that people planned to ask so several people just asked John to sign stuff. The venue had several high quality drinks options which was nice but the bars to serve people were under staffed. John Cusack was amazing and tried his best to be accommodating to the interviewer and fans. He is a real class act but I would love to be able to attend this same event at another venue where the overall experience for all of the whole audience is taken into consideration. read more

I attended the Colter Wall concert on 10/8/24. The venue and parking were beautiful, organize, and convenient. It's in a good area that it easy to get in and out of. The one complaint I had is that there were problems with the sound, but it was a big, big issue. The bass was "muddy" for the first two acts and kept feeding back. It was so muffled that it was hard to understand the singers' words in their songs or even when they were talking. The first singer's mic was hot and kept screeching with feedback. The second singer constantly had to tell the sound crew to turn up his guitar and turn down the vocals. By far the worst thing all night was when the headliner came out. Neither his guitar nor mic worked! He's normally very professional, but he was noticeably upset after standing around for 15 minutes. Finally, the band had to leave the stage. The sold-out crowd stood around for a half hour until the sound crew finally got it working. Even after it started working, the headliner had the same guitar and vocal problems as the previous acts. The sound guys seemed amateurish or untrained at trouble-shooting their equipment. Part of the sound quality problems may have been that the "front of house" board was actually off to the side of the stage rather than in front where they could have better heard how everything sounded. I believe these sound guys belonged to the hall, but I supposed they could have been part of the tour. Either way, the sound was unacceptable. read more

Venue in Waukee is beautiful. however, beware consumer that although you bought tickets with unobstructed views, if you are seated behind VIP boxes, that could be untrue for you and those around you. We attended concert , had a great view until VIP group showed up in front of us. Two men stood and bounced around the entire concert. Blocked two thirds of our stage view and were totally disruptive. They never once sat in their seat. Staff was well aware of this happening the night of the concert as well as in the past. Three different staff members informed us that nothing could be done. VIP's can do whatever they want and "staff have been told that they cannot say anything to them " . They cannot ask them to sit down. They have purchased the VIP box. Last $200 we will be spending at this venue. Please spread the word so someone else doesn't get scammed like we did. read more

For being in a rural part of des moines, $15 for parking is ridiculous. It's well worth the walk to park at neighboring businesses. They will try to charge you silly fees like VIP parking or the "fast line" pass. Arrived 30min before the show and could nearly touch the stage. Of course it depends on who you're seeing. The sound was great, could hear the stage perfectly no matter where you were. Bathrooms were clean and large. Lots of bars, at least 5. No drink menu was displayed though. Aside from some of the fees, this venue gets a 10/10 from me. read more
