Call me a soft serve snob because well, I am. It just hits different. Cup and cone? It just hits different. Rich, creamy, milky, grade A soft serve. I'm a basic vanilla guy however I've tried other flavors and their dole whip. All fire. You can also dip your soft serve. On a different occasion when it was too hot outside I did a cherry dip. Melted like crazy under the dip but still fire and I'd do it again. Haven't tried their food but it always smells good. Should you give any and all the above a shot? Absolutely. Drive across town at rush hour hating your life in traffic? Worth it. The location? Small lot, street parking options, the cutest little stand you could ask for with a few benches to the side. I love it. Spring and summer will eventually be here, do yourself a favor and go treat yourself at cup and cone.

While the root beer flavor wasn't as bold as I expected (I was left wanting a little more of that punch), it was still a good and refreshing treat. Right after paying, I noticed it was Salted Caramel weekend. Couldn't resist adding a kiddy cone just for a taste, and I'm so glad I did. That flavor was amazingly refreshing--the perfect balance of sweet and salty. So far, I haven't tried anything here that I didn't enjoy. It's always a solid stop when I'm in the area. I also really appreciate their portion sizes (just right) and the fact that they offer a cash discount--a nice little perk you don't see often these days. I ordered 2 Oreo milkshakes and nochos and cheese. My total easy $32!!!!!!! The milkshakes had NO Oreo in them, they were just vanilla shakes with chocolate in the cup. I'll never go back. Super good combination, and I wound up getting a pint of the Peanut Butter swirl to take home. It had such strong peanut flavor and aroma, I'm really impressed! They also serve 1919 root beer on tap which is awesome. Apparently it's all homemade ice cream, and it certainly has that flavor to it in the most positive way. Both of them had huge portions and loved their treats. There were at least 10 flavors of soft serve plus numerous toppings from peanut butter to gummy frogs to boba to fresh raspberries. I watched these guys stay busy with a continuous line as we passed them multiple times over the 4 hours we were here. I have to say, I'm impressed! It was the end of that day and they still whipped that ice cream up with as much as energy as they probably would have at the beginning of their day (dang that has to be a work out to do that all day long!!) With only 2 ice plates (or whatever you call those things), the line moves a bit slow. But the entertainment makes it worth the wait. Was I impressed? Mmm...it was as stellar tasting tasting as Ben & Jerry's or some of the gourmet handcrafted ice cream shops around the cities but the cool flavors, the visual appeal and watching them make it - and good customer service- gets my 5 stars. The place was quiet, even though there were about a dozen other people in the shop. The tables were clean. There's even some board games out that you can play with.
