I got a fair evaluation of the condition of my roof (post-hurricane Sally) and was able to do repairs instead of replacing. Matched the existing shingles really well and did decking replacement and everything in just one day. Very easy to work with! read more

If you have tried to contract any construction job(s) since Sally then you know how difficult it is to find a contractor who will return to do the work...and if they do...they leave the job before it is done and never to return. Not with Ben Murphy Roofing. What a great group of people to work with. The office staff worked with us in choosing the right choice in color for our new roof. We researched the shingles and the colors and making a choice was very difficult for us. We made several trips to BMC's office. The office staff was so very helpful and patient with us. The workers who put the new roof on were workers. They went to work and stayed with it. It took two days and what a mess...but let me tell you...not one piece of tar paper or any nails have we found. The cleanup was remarkable. I had to leave the house during their cleanup...the crew was going through our gravel drive picking up any small pieces of tar paper or any other debris from the job. We could not have been more pleased with the work and are extremely satisified with how our new roof looks. Thank you BM staff and employees. read more

Established in 2004, Ben Murphy Company is a general contractor and a member of Baldwin Home Builder's Association. Located in Foley, Alabama with satellite operations in Biloxi, Mississippi, we have completed commercial construction and custom home projects throughout the Gulf Coast and Coastal Mississippi region.

Meet the Business Owner: Ben M.

My name is Ben Murphy! I was born in Augusta Georgia! I graduated at Brookwood High School in Snellville, GA. Then I graduated from Auburn University in 2000. I worked for Jesco/ Yates Construction in Marieta, GA until 2002. Moved to Pensacola, FL & married Lander Cureton in 2003! I started Ben Murphy Company in September 2004 in Pensacola! I have a son named Harris who is 13, daughter Mary Rebecca who is 11, and my black lab Pearl who is 5! We moved to Gulf Shores in 2007 and then Orange Beach in 2014! I am a Certified Green Builder by NAHB! I am a member of the Baldwin Home Builders Association! I am also a Fortified Professional! I love hunting, off shore fishing, Auburn football and golf!

I originally picked High Tide because I liked the name but once Taylor came by for the estimate, explained the process and timeline, I knew I was going with High Tide. It's a busy time for roofs so Taylor touched base with me often to check in on when we could expect him and his crew, when they could deliver supplies, etc. If I had any questions, Taylor was just a text away. This is a very genuine company, super professional and thorough with their work. The crew worked hard on a hot summer day and did a very thorough cleanup afterwards. Bishop's Plumbing and Handyman Services did the repipe. Brent did a great job with the repipe and recommended Kevin for the drywall repair. Kevin, replaced the insulation and drywall after spraying cavities with anti mold. We had many problems do to previous water damage, mold, and on the ceilings were both nicotine stains and water damage. There were also bad patch jobs on ceiling. Kevin treated and repaired the ceiling stains an damage. Then he retextured ceilings where needed and matched. as well. The ceilings he painted and everything looks great. Kevin retextured some walls and repaired other walls where there was water and mold damage. There were new spaces created and Kevin did the drywall an finish. Kevin also knew of other available services to help with our needs and gave worthy recommendations.
