I highly recommend Sam for any home improvements, especially tile work you may need…read more This summer Sam put in a beautiful tile backsplash in my kitchen....I was so pleased. It turned out beautifully. He gave me a fair estimate & wrote out what he would do & gave me a fair time frame as well. He also went above & beyond by not only installing 2 kitchen cabinets for me....he did carpentry work & moved some cabinets above my refrigerator over & put a filler in to make it look seamless & congruent. He's highly capable in many areas. He is a pleasure to have in your home & shows up when he says, does beautiful work -on time & cleans up any work areas. I'm so grateful to have contracted & hired him and will absolutely call him again for any other work in the future.

While it looked good, water from shower had cause some discoloration (water damage) to the wood. The whole panel had to be pulled out and replaced with tile. I found Sam through Yelp and he came by and gave a very fair estimate. It was within my budget and I accepted the bid. He gave me a list of things he would need to complete the job. I went over the home depot and lowes and picked up the stuff in advance of his work. Work started on a Thursday morning. Sam and his wife came with their tools and started working. They were meticulous in their work and even cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. I was not living there at the time so they could have left the place a mess had they chose to. I left them a copy of the keys so they could complete the work. I would come by to check on the work in the evening and the place was not messy at all. The work took a little over a week but much of that was due to waiting for the tile to come in (It was on special order). In the end, it was a job well done. Very happy with the job and it was tougher than I had expected. Sam even did some touch up painting to areas that were nicked from the removal of the toilet. Highly recommended for your tile work.

I looked on my Yelp for flooring stores in town. The closest one to me was Flooring Concepts. There were no reviews, but I figured I had to start somewhere. I walked in not knowing what to expect. What I found was a polite knowledgeable gentleman who showed me right to what I was looking for. He came back every few minutes to make sure I didn't have any questions, and if I did he didn't make me feel silly. ( I knew nothing about flooring). Every aspect of this experience was top notch, from service, to price, to pick up. One of the major problems is that the pony wall had come away from the exterior wall. We also had mold in the shower under the caulking. Lisa's company found that the pony wall had only been attached to the exterior wall by one little screw into the plaster board. Jason not only took out some of the plasterboard and inserted a 2 x 4 to attach the pony wall to the exterior, but also got in the crawl space and attached the wall to the floor. He put it all back and it's perfect. Also, all of the mold is gone. He also worked on a couple other areas that needed finishing. Why didn't we go back to the original company? We found their finishing work was not acceptable. We didn't want them to come back and not fix it correctly and end up with the same problems. My pictures show the before and after. Another note, there was no stress put on this pony wall to cause it to move away from the exterior wall. It's attach to a walk-in tub that we had only used 4 times in those two years. Regarding the caulk, several people had told us that mold under the caulk was a sign it was not installed properly, and they had never seen that bad of a condition UNDER the caulk to occur in such a short time. We'll definitely use Boss again. They also install windows.
