In remodeling you can expect 15% above costs but you must be active to avoid huge financial surprises. 3. Make sure you stop the project and get a change order of it is a large protect, 20k or more. 4. Don't expect Ben Clark to be on site much or to be organized about your project. The company will not!!! The company rep. might push a broom occasionally but that's it. 5. Understand that if you need a subcontractor to come back and fix something during construction that you request, that cost is on you. Haven't seen him since. Sent his "New Guy" out instead of the crew he bragged about. When I complained about the forms being wrong, said he likes to see what the new guys can do (unsupervised?). Nick said that he would look at it and it would be corrected. Called later to tell me it was ready to pour, yet he had done nothing past *correcting the forms. On 11/01/22 he told me that concrete was coming soon. Informed him that it wasn't ready. He said he would come out to inspect it. Trail cams never saw him. Had to fire Nick on 11/04/22 due to inactivity, deceitfulness, and lack of professionalism. He still has all of my $2,200. Honest men don't do this. Godly men don't do this. *Reputable concrete firm hired to finish the job has to redo the work done by "The Concrete Guy" (Correction - the "New Guy"). Interestingly enough, in Nick's initial visit, he told us how someone just stopped payment on a $5,000 check to him. Wonder why! Now is threatening to place a lean on my property.
