Chapman did an excellent job on installing our roof. Chapman started and completed the job when…read morethey said they would. Added a new roof vent for better circulation without being asked. They allowed us to use their dumpster to get rid of some of our junk. And finally, something being stored on our rafters ( that we were unaware of) fell due to the vibration of all the hammering. It made a small hole in our ceiling. This was totally not their fault at all but they took care of it at no extra charge!!! The hole was fixed beautifully within 3 days (only because layered plastering has to dry)!!

Building a house is not only more difficult but significantly different than just moving into an…read moreestablished home. The first and most important part of the process is to ensure that you have complete trust in your builder and their team. Your builder is the person who is going to bring your vision, dream and place of security to life. They need to be a good listener, offer suggestions knowing who their audience is and willing to be flexible while keeping the process moving forward. All of this occurred while working with Mr. Chapman, Steve Dossett and Tony Armstrong. We started our build remotely which adds an extra layer of complexity, however we found that out of the 4 homes we have built throughout our lives this was the easiest. Each team member brought to the table an expertise within their own abilities that assisted us with decision making structurally, design wise and adding some extras as the build move forward. We had some specific asks regarding features that we wanted completed before we closed so that when we moved in we would have all the extras we wanted completed. Chris Chapman and his team were very willing to allow us to have our closets organized, our garage floor coated and our fence put in and completed. I have never known any builder to allow this to go on prior to closing. What a blessing. Tony and Steve received many phone calls from us never hesitating to answer our questions, concerns and solving our issues. We met friendly team members along the way like Adyson and Luke as well as all the other players who assisted in creating our dream home. If you are thinking about building a home or even tossing around the idea of downsizing/upsizing your house then working with the Chapman team is the right choice. I would challenge anyone to find another builder that would come close to our experience. You will not be disappointed working with any of the people associated with this company. Many thanks to everyone involved who has worked on our home. We are beyond grateful for all your hard work.

We had a small house fire back in July. I had heard of mcf previously so we added them to our list…read moreof contractors to call. When Rick came out he was awesome. Friendly gave us the answers that we needed and I was very happy with the decision that I made. After going back and forth for quite some time on pricing at agreement with the insurance the work finally started 2 and 1/2 months after the fire. The gentleman that started the work was supposed to start on the inside so we could move back in sooner. He started on the front porch. To say that everything that could go wrong, or be done wrong was, is an understatement. Flashing didn't match on the corners. There were gaps everywhere it was just truly an amateurish job. When the outside was done they moved to the inside which just needed a little drywall work but the living room and hallway needed to be painted. The estimate included removing and replacing the light switch covers and light switches Outlets and the baseboards. They were also supposed to clean the walls, Prime them, and then paint. When I say that they did the worst painting job imaginable I'm not exaggerating. There were areas where the roller didn't cover on the ceiling. There was paint on the ceiling fan, paint on my hardwood floors. You could see the previous color coming through the paint, this indicated that there was no primer done, or sealant of any kind. The hall was being painted a dark color and it was splotchy you could see paint brush marks and it was just a very bad job. On all things that were wrong they did come back and fix them. But in having to come back and fix things it was making us not be able to be in our home that much longer. When the painting had to be redone I was told that they were going to send the good crew. My question is why didn't I get the good crew to begin with? Or at least somebody who knew what to do. I did have these complaints given to the project manager, and he was empathetic. He and the owner came to my house to express their embarrassment for the way that this project had gone. This is because a 4-in circle of paint came off the wall, because it was not cleaned. I was happy with that resolution, we got it all figured out they came out they repainted and everything looked fine. A week later a second spot of paint came off of the wall this one is about 6 in. I did reach out to the project manager and have gotten no type of response from him at all. I did my part I paid the bill. I feel like we're going to continue to have problems with the paint job that they did and it's just heartbreaking. If you use them make sure that you get the good crew, or your house will never be the same again.
